I thought it was pretty cool what you wrote. I admitted I was wrong about OSU losing 3 games this year. Despite Monday night, OSU had a great season. They proved to be one of the best teams in college football. What is your honest view for next year? If all these JR's go pro, does Tressel have the players ready to step in? Their D was damn good all year but got blown up by UM and UF> Even BG put up 350 yards.

Have fun in the Carribean...That's where I wanna be right now.
since it is MLK day and i have the day off, and the new wife still has to go to work (since she just started her new job and is lucky enough to be still getting paid next week when we are on our honeymoon), i thought i would check in and answer this question.

My honest opinion about next year with all of the juniors (ginn, gonzo, pittman) leaving is this:

Pittman leaving will not make a big huge difference. It just means Wells gets the ball more. no loss in the nning game. Not too mention they have another freshman comming in next year who is another top running back in the country, may have been in top 5.

they will hurt a little bit at WR at first, but there is a very eay schedule next year to give them time to mature and gel. Robiskie will replace gonzo, Ray Small is every bit as fast as gonzo and Ginn was (if not faster) he will have to play Ginn's role (still not sure why they didnt put him in v. FLA to help spread the field. he would have suprised FLA). Give Small time to mature and gel then the WR's will be good enough, but not as good as we had this year.

Obviously the big question mark is QB. From what I have heard (rumors) Todd Boeckman is supposed to be a better QB than Troy. I have no opinion on this because I have not seen Boeckman play so I will have to hold comment on this position until the first two or three games next year are over. If he is as good as I hear that he is then it should not be a huge loss if the o-line can block for him. I doubt he is as quick on his feet as Troy. But like I said, very easy early schedule, can give him time to learn and increase his confidence.

90% of the Defense will be back. They will only get better. They have to replaced the middle of the D line but they had rotated people in and out so much that they are not losing a lot of experience, just a couple of household names. They will only get better in my opinion. FLA roughed them up but I blame that on coaching. They kept doing a deep zone coverage, FLA would keep doing short slants or WR screens which created running lanes and 8 yards per play garunteed. The Coahces made no adjustments to play a little tighter or go man to man.

My outlook on next year is a 10-2 season givin the easy schedule, especially OOC. Syracuse and YSU and Toledo (I think UT is on the schedule) should be easy enough to get things figured out.

I believe Wisconsin is an away game so I have them losing that game, and UM since they are bringing back all of their players they will be just a bit too much for OSU on a semi rebuilding year. They will finally get their win and Carr will keep his job. That may give them a January bowl game but not quite in the BCS.

It will be a decednt year for what we will have,

no offense, but as long as you play strait zone, you will always have trouble against a spread offense like florida's. it's just fortunate that you play in the big 10 that you don't see the athletes of the sec every week. Just like the florida players said, ohio state woulda finished 4th or 5th if they played in the sec.

I hate OSU but there is no way in hell they finish 5th in the SEC. That's so stupid. I hate when people don't pay attention all year, then watch the bowl games and then act like they know who's good. The bowl game is only 1 game, it doesn't mean Ohio State is all of the sudden worse than 4 other teams from one conference!
4th & 13 on PU 32yd line.. 56,000 fans up on their feet screaming, i held my breath the entire play trying to make as little noise as possible.. wouldnt u know Sharon would make the biggest touchdown catch in the history of BG Football, FALCON UP!

I think that there are a couple more teams in the SEC that would have, and will rock tosu. The b11 is not the premier conf anymore.

Never once did I say the Big 10 is the premier conference. There is just no way in hell Ohio State finishes 5th in it this year. I would say worse case scenario they finish 3rd (Florida and LSU).

I agree. I also do not believe that Florida is the hands down better team. Sometimes games like these happen. Remember the title game a few years ago when USC and Oklahoma played? Sometimes teams play flat. Sometimes teams do not match up well. UF was definitely the clear cut better team on January 8th, but it would be interesting to know if they are really that much better. I doubt it. OSU would have been just fine in the SEC.

I think that florida, lsu, auburn and even though they had a rollercoaster of a year, that georgia would beat them, but im pretty sure that the first 3 would. Also, I was unaware when the Big 10 was the "Premier" conference. Maybe it's just becuase that's all people see on tv around here so therefor they are stuck in this lackluster football that MUST be good because it's on tv.

I feel that Florida is the hands down better team, they proved it.
