If not him then another RB to a different position because all of those guys need to see the field, and I'm not a big fan of the running by comittee type thing.

Also that is huge for a kicker. Maybe he'll our version of Janikowski?
I was pretty excited about Macon getting more touches in 2006 but, quite frankly, he never really produced at the level most folks expected. While he has explosive speed, he failed to display the instincts of a good running back (even though his stats look good).

I'd love to see him have a break-through year as a senior. The kid languished behind Pope and Lane for most of his time here.

Very good points and fair ones as well. I think the reason why Macon didn't show the "instincts" of a good RB because he was so hampered with a nagging ankle injury. Freddie Barnes is a good player and my current favorite on this team. I think a lot of people would agree that his (similar) injury significantly decreased his production! Also about the stats... I know they might be terrifying but they don't lie and Macon seemed to get pretty decent production considering our team and his injury. Also lets not forget he didn't have key FUMBLES inside the REDZONE!
4th & 13 on PU 32yd line.. 56,000 fans up on their feet screaming, i held my breath the entire play trying to make as little noise as possible.. wouldnt u know Sharon would make the biggest touchdown catch in the history of BG Football, FALCON UP!

Hmmmm...Dusan from the hoops team is from Serbia and the new kicker
Vrvilo is from Bosnia. I hope there aren't going to be any problems.
If you deal with my rambling for a minute, I think you will have something to think about by the end!

I am sure there is sarcasm there, but I just wanted to share a little experience with y'all that I had the other night! It has nothing to do with football, but perhaps its something you can appreciate!

I am working with an orientation program for advanced scholars from Eastern Europe and Central Asia, and the other night I found myself sitting with a Bosnian, 2 Croatians, and a Serb watching Kansas beat the crap out of OK State over a beer. I had to ask the question, how do you all manage to not hate each other, and the response was very surprising (even for me, who studies this stuff). They said, the past is the past... he is a human, I am a human.

Something more provacative than football perhaps!

That sounds like the set-up for a joke. Regardless, good story, and too bad we couldn't make it to Omaha.

Agreed. Bullock, Thomas and Ransom sounds like a lethal combination; Macon would be a wildcard. I've said before that if we get solid play from the QB position (be it Turner, Sheehan or Glaud), we have some real potential - Corey and Freddie Barnes should make a great 1-2 combo, then you add Sean O and Pronty, maybe Parks is ready to step up ... looks pretty solid.
Absolutely. Everything must work in concert, and the QB is the key. Other than Corey, the WR position was inadequate last year. I'm hoping a healthy Barnes can provide a spark. The recent standard set by Kurt Gerling, David Bautista, Cole Magner, Robert Redd, Charles Sharon and Steve Sanders was not upheld for whatever reason, and that must change for the offense to get back to the point where it scares other teams rather than its fans. :)

Sorry Schad, but I don't think anyone else got it.

I thought it was a good one though!
