You mean the ones they handed out to students, or those who look like they could be students?

I got two. :-D

Though I gave one to a brave little Freakling, so the average age is in the college range.

I don't understand why anyone in the student section should complain about the students. AA was at one time quite intimidating. I would like it to once again be that way. I know for a fact a lot of players opposing players don't like us standing there and that makes our resolve that much stronger. I also know of many of our players who love us standing there, I need no more evidence than that. I will continue to stand.

same with me, if someone doesn't like it, they shouldn't be sitting in the student section, had this same problem at my high school, if you know we stand there every game, don't sit behind us, or sit far enough up

What else can you say about this team that hasn't already been said? Not a single-digit win yet this year.
1500? Definitely seemed more like 1800-1900. But still decent. I hope we see a surge in attendance for the rest of the games especially when NFL football is over and b-ball is the main sport going on. The Sat. games might a bit better than week games anyway. This team deserves crowds of atleast 3000 every night but thats going to be tough.
In historical terms, 1,500 is a fine crowd for women's basketball at Bowling Green. Set aside the seasons in which Bowling Green has hosted an NCAA tournament game, and the best season average in school history is 1,225.

Here is a look at season attendance averages for the Falcons, with the number of home games first, then the season average:

2005-06 11/1,099
2004-05 10/ 902
2003-04 13/ 860
2002-03 12/1,078
2001-02 12/ 417
2000-01 11/ 647
1999-2000 11/ 615
1998-99 12/ 601
1997-98 13/ 981
1996-97 13/1,000
1995-96 11/ 805
1994-95 12/ 861
1993-94 13/1,547
1992-93 14/1,394
1991-92 13/1,225
1990-91 15/ 816

And here is a look at the biggest home crowds in program history:

1. 4,408 Florida, 3/17/93 *
2. 4,013 Toledo, 2/19/92
3. 3,779 Central Michigan, 1/18/03
4. 3,772 Creighton, 3/16/94 *
5. 3,268 Toledo, 3/5/94
6. 2,837 Miami, 2/15/03
7. 2,667 Detroit, 11/25/03
8. 2,654 Ball State, 3/4/97
9. 2,572 Toledo, 1/25/97
10. 2,520 Toledo, 1/31/98
11. 2,329 Kent, 2/14/98
12. 2,184 Eastern Michigan, 2/15/97

* NCAA tournament game.

I'm amazed, as I look at this board, at the amount of genuine passion these young women have inspired here. Look at the women's sports forum. It has never been this active.

It will be interesting, at the end of the season to see how the attendance averages for the women and the men compare.

I can honestly say that I'm more interested in hearing about how the women did the night before than the men.

Am I alone on that?

No. But then again, I always favored the women over the men anyway.*

You're not alone by a longshot. If I'm not mistaken, I think the women are outdrawing the men so far this year.

For me, the women's games are much more important. The Women need to go undefeated in order to get a favorable seed so we can make some noise in March. At this point in the men's season, does it really matter all that much in the grand scheme if they win or lose? All they need to do is keep improving up to the tournament. All that really matters for them is that week in March to try and make a run.

The Ladies are already in the tournament, they just need to keep holding serve to get that higher seed. Plus I love following them and the teams around them in the rankings, as we try to move further and further into uncharted territory.

haha I'm 23 and still a student so that doesn't say anything about my age.

He wasn't saying 'your' age. He was merely stating that one's age reflects their view on the students. You seem to be the exception to that rule, however, 23 seems a lifetime away for young ones like myself. So in essence you're just another old guy

Me too for two reasons: the band got to play more during women's games and I was at BG when Susie Cassell was our PG. To me it is a history of success which makes BG women's basketball so appealing.
