New Scoreboard

Post by thewebboy »

any word on how the new scoreboard is looking? any chances of a video screen? Any idea on what all will be on there? It would be nice to see some in-game stats and stuff like that. I'm excited to see the the upgrade.

I'm sad to see the old one go, but you gotta admit it was a little embarassing... my high school's scoreboard was better than that thing.

They have extended the support beams since the new scoreboard is much taller. Also, late last week, they installed the vertical support beams. So right now it looks like a big tic-tac-toe board with about five horizontal beams and five vertical beams. Not sure when the board will actually be installed but I would think it would be nice to have ready to show off at the open scrimmage on Sunday Aug 22.

Got to spend the money wisely. In previous years, we've had more important things than a new scoreboard (and I'm sure there will be plenty of students that say this scoreboard wasn't needed - can't please'em all).

They'll be working the board at the scrimmage and working on getting everything down so when the first home game hits, we can have a product on the screen that we can be proud of.

as of this morning, the back of the scoreboard (the part that faces wooster street) is up. so now, there's a big orange square on the tic-tac-toe board.
