Daylight Savings Time

Post by Metz »

Is there a way to set the time of the posts to change to DST by itself in the future? I'm being picky again but it's just something I thought of!!! :P

PhpBB runs off of GMT and doesn't give you the option for timezones-- just the offsets. If you go into your profile, just change your offset from -4 to -5 and all times should be displayed properly.

I understand that, but I was wondering if there was a way to set the php to do that for us automatically? No it's not that hard for me to change myself, but it's just something I was curious about :D

Or you could just move to Indiana, the "black hole of daylight savings time". It really is kinda cool to not have to run around the house changing clocks twice a year... of course its also cool to not lose an hour driving back to Ohio... hmmmm...

A few years ago I was in Indiana when the time changed....or in that case, did not change. So it was like I gained the hour when going into the state and never lost it. :)

As a Fort Wayne native, yes...not changing clocks is great. The TV schedule would always get messed up, but i never had to change a clock. Indiana has it down...I dont understand the savings time anyways....it's not like we're all living life so differently based on what the clock says and what it looks like outside!
Living in Virginia....so this is what elevation looks like =)
