Director of Ticket Sales needed
Director of Ticket Sales needed
For those of you that are always spouting out ideas on how to improve ticket sales for football and other sporting events, here is your chance. BG is in need of a Director of Ticket Sales.
To read the job posting go to the following:

Pay is actually subpar, (low range of $26K to start), but worth it for those of you just out of school and sick of your job (or lack of one).

I believe our new AD is simply looking for someone to get out and SELL tickets. I think Scot does a wonderful job administering the ticket operation. This role looks like a person who will sell directly as opposed to be in marketing or ticket administration. Sounds like a fine idea to me and may indicate a proactive move to overcome some of those attendance matters we had to address late in the football season.

Exactly. Administration should only be a part of the job. You need to aggresively market these tickets to maximize game attendence. I'm glad Greg Christopher realizes this.
I suppose attendence falls under the purview of a few different departments (marketing, ticketing, promotions), but I'd love to see a newly created position such as "Director of Game Attendence," both to centralize and organize the operation and clearly specify where the accountability lies in this regard.

Not trying to be a dick. Just pointing out how to spell his name correctly. I know a lot of people on here get ticked when names are misspelled.Redwingtom wrote:Well, excuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuse Grant and me.Tricky_Falcon wrote:It's Scot. To be honest, I don't think the ticket office has ever been run too well...late announcements, not having season ticket forms till shortly before the season, difficulty in determining if tickets are available, issues with credit cards and purchasing tickets when not in person. These are just a few of the areas I can see a need for improvment.
The ticket office is just one area that (hopefully) will benefit from a better attention to the details.
