Ok , cross fingers everyone......
Coach Miller just said on Coaches Show that a player in practice just injured her knee.
So here comes more playing for a freshman no doubt. This is the only thing that could give us loss if its to Goldsberry or any of the seniors.

Well, let's hope it isn't Carin, Liz, Kate, or Ali. We're in a bit of trouble without those girls, especially if its Ali or Liz.falconboy wrote:Coach Miller just said on Coaches Show that a player in practice just injured her knee.So here comes more playing for a freshman no doubt. I wouldn't panic too quickly. Perhaps the greatest aspect of this already great team is that we have so many weapons at our disposal that we can absorb an injury, especially if it is only short-term. Granted, this does come during one of our toughest stretches in coference play, but we are still a dominant team if Carin, Liz, or Ali goes down. Kate would give me a little bit more worry, but Jazz has really stepped up this year and I would have faith in her running the point. Don't discount our depth, either.bgsufalcon24 wrote:Well, let's hope it isn't Carin, Liz, Kate, or Ali. Pretty sad to make a comment like that, an injury is an injury no matter who it is. Everyone contributes in some way no matter how many minutes you see them on the floor.
Clapper is who got hurt though, not sure much more.

Of course an injury to any of girls is bad, but it would just be worse for us to lose Golds, Jazz, Kate, or any of the seniors. Actually losing Clapper isn't that good either cuz she's shown more flashes of scoring ability and we are real thin at the small forward/SG position. Clapper was getting more time after Taylor went down. I hope its just a slight knee sprain.bg_bball wrote:falconboy wrote:Coach Miller just said on Coaches Show that a player in practice just injured her knee.So here comes more playing for a freshman no doubt. There's a certain amount of coldness in your attitude, as if an injury to one is more detremental than an injury to another. This is a team....an injury to any one of them, regardless of their current role on the team, is, no doubt, felt equally by all of them since changes must be made to account for the injury. There's no way to judge, IMO, how much of an impact it will have until game time.falconboy wrote:Of course an injury to any of girls is bad, but it would just be worse for us to lose Golds, Jazz, Kate, or any of the seniors. You're not wrong about Carin's leg problems, but Clapper is who got hurt at practice.Strouse wrote:If you read through the article that Transfer posted recently, it looks like it could be Carin Horne since she's been having leg problems recently, unless that's something that has been known for awhile.

Yep. Horne has had some leg issues, thus why she was pulled early from the CMU game. I actually saw Clapper on campus today and she did look to be having some trouble with her leg. Didn't look too severe - no visible cast or anything of that sort.
Here's hoping she gets well soon. We all want what's best for the team, record wise, but the well being of the players comes first.
