Usually the rolling eyes is enough... but sometimes... ;-)
And you guys wonder why this site will never expand beyond the same 10-15 posters. With this type of attitude, no wonder newcomers to this site, especially BGSU students, can't help but feel intimidated.

The post that I was posting off of, I honestly couldn't sense any sarcasm in it at all. Why? Because everybody is so damn cynical about our recruiting all the time! Why would I have reason to believe this was any different? And then you just poke fun over how "obvious" it was. Great.

Honestly? No, I've never wondered about that.

I'll give ya that with the trend around here to gripe about athletics, the sarcasm there might not have been as bold as other times. I figured it was sarcasm, but wasn't sure one way or the other.

Now, from here, I can take this post one of two ways....

A) Point out that jacojdm is only #17 on the list, so he doesn't count...

or

B) Suggest you peruse this website:

Either way, lighten up, Francis!

I thought it was an obvious Falconboy impression. Never in a million years would I have thought that post was serious, unless it actually came from Falconboy.

Don't take yourself so seriously. You made a boo-boo, you got called on it and ribbed a bit, and then the conversation continued. BFD.

Ah, and to add some legitimacy, I have no clue what kind of player Ms. Nance is, or how many students would even remember Larry Nance as a player*, outside of Cleveland natives. But as was mentioned, if she is good enough to be getting looks from "big time" schools, but still making the trip to BG to check out the Falcons, that's a good thing. As has also been said, even if she does go "big time", it speaks volumes to have our name mentioned among them in the recruiting game.

(*-You know, it just hit me that this year's freshmen weren't even alive when "The Drive" went down 20 years ago last Thursday? God I'm old.**)

(**-But still not as old as Falcon Fanatic.*** :-D )

(***-Please don't kill me.)

Wow....you are a glutton aren't you?

I suspect you'll have several bruises upon leaving BG the next time you're here.... (I speak from experience; my bruises are perpetual. I just can't seem to help myself. :-D )

Who's Larry Nance? I don't follow the NBA, never did, never will... :smt019

And I do believe you need another :smt021.....I owe you one!! (probably more than one, but who's counting? :-D )

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

Hopefully we send her one of those letters soon. Maybe she will want to stay closer to home. She sounds like a perfect fit for our style of play.

This past Saturday night:

Jen Uhl 15 points
Casey Nance 9 points

I think Nance had more rebounds, but it looked even when they were facing off against one another. She doesn't lack in physical play as she had many "knockdowns" that were no calls.
