New jerseys in the offing?

ok ill agree there...i think the new orange jersey's with falcons or bowling green on the front would be nice... but keep the brown jersey's as alts for special games and stuff

well making a new field yesterday got my photoshop bug goin so what the hell, here's some jersey ideas.

even though, like i said...i like the current jerseys best...just add bg or falcons on it

so be it. if anyone's read my posts you know i dont shy away from unpopular opinions. allthough i will say it was just a starting point in actually making the picture and i thought it looked interesting. black and orange are very complimentary colors. that and the fact that someone mentioned (jokingly im sure) black jerseys.

and let me just say real quick (dont respond to this or else someone will talk about how often this is discussed and how its taking away from other pressing issues we need to discuss on a football forum during the off season) whats wrong with black jerseys? are we really that afraid of change? god if this board existed when leather helmets were abandoned ....shudder

Jeebus, your a moron. Black jerseys? Are you serious? The jersy scheme on the left looks fine, but the right one , if thats black or grey please.

Our school colors are Burnt Orange and Seal Brown. So why would you have black jersies? Should every school in the nation have a set of black jersies no matter what their colors are just because?

Should Penn State change their uniforms to white and black, because black is a cool color? I would say "no." Remember when John Cooper of tosua&m came out in a maroonish sweater? THE osu faithful nearly had a collective heart attack. And God, I hate to say it, but I agreed.

everybody breathe...calm down..its OKAY...that design hasnt been approved officialy yet. i know close call right? whew.

seriously..it was just for fun...and i have to say i did get a laugh out of it. but c'mon...i like brown..i like our colors...most of the shirts i wear are either brown or orange or a combination of both...it just looked cool! thats all! god its like the outrage of some osu fans about removing the grey from the jerseys but directed at me for a little photoshop design i made in 5 minutes. but hey. guess i'm a moron...

I was hoping you saw the sarcasm in my post. The use of black at this University as a color has been discussed over, and over, and over and it usually gets responded to in the delicate manner which falconboy exhibited. There's a lot on this board that are pretty big traditionalists (see the Turf war going on) and a lot of people will fight tooth and nail for these things. I love seeing new ideas and love seeing mock-ups of these things.

I personally see nothing wrong with black jerseys. Who cares? Dont get me wrong, I love our colors, they have been my colors my whole life...highschool, BG, cleveland browns (shh...dont laugh)...I see nothing wrong with having an alternate jersey that was black. Hell.....we got white jerseys...y not black? u racist?

haha some grounds coffee and a southside 6 gyro later im alot happier. ur post wasnt really what i was talking about...more towards the people who were yet to attack me.

yes, im glad you see where i was coming from doing a mock up of something i thought would be kinda cool. never hurts to try new things and that was just an idea. i'm not saying jersey's should have black on em...frankly i dont care. if the new ones do they do, if they dont they dont. i like our jerseys where they are...i cutting edge modern jersey and a classic throw back jersey alternate...works for me. but if they change that to something i dont like i'll say "awww" and be over it. the playing surface changes, the stadium changes, and even the colors they were dont cause them to win or lose and frankly im not rooting for turf...or for orange and not black i'm rooting for the players. sorry bout that.
