The Road to EMU

Post by Peregrinner »

Just wondering if there's any plans for meeting up in Ypsilanti tomorrow and if anyone has any tips on best route to take, best place to park, etc. I've never been up there before, only past it.

Thanks in advance!

No, take 475 N to 23. 75 will put you on 8 Mile, and you don't want to end up on 8 Mile...

I was really hoping to make it to this game, but it looks as though things may be conspiring against my plans. Still holding out hope, though...

Take I-75 N to I-475 (Ann Arbor) which turn into US23. Take it all the way to the Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti exit 37A (Washtenaw Ave) and turn right (east) go a mile or two to Hewitt and turn left (north) and go a short distance until you see the arena on your right. There is plenty of parking around the arena.

I think we are stopping, probably at Smokehouse Blues, which is at 4885 Wastenaw Ave, not far before you turn on Hewitt for a little pregame food and beverage.

Maybe... if you were riding a bike!

It might be an hour.

Really? I always thought Ypsilanti was like in the northern part of Michigan.

Ypsilanti is right next to Ann Arbor, literally.

If you're going 10 over the speed limit the entire way there, it's an hour drive.

we went to that Taco Bell today, it wasn't as nice as the new BG taco bell, but was not one of those old nasty taco bells. And the boy working as cashier's name was Keith, nice young man. If you go there say hi to him. haha.
