His plan was to walk on at UT but he violated his probation and is headed for prison.

You beat me to it. It's really sad to see guys get a second chance and throw it away. Kudos to Amstutz for giving a troubled kid a shot, but he obviously didn't take advantage of it.

This kills me. I had such high hopes for this lad. It sounded like he really wanted to correct his ways and get on the right track.

He didn't. I also give Amstutz and company a huge amount of credit for giving him that opportunity.

What a shame.

Ditto. You have to wonder why kids can't recognize the opportunities that are presented to them. Still, I guess that is what being young is all about. I'm honestly sorry that this didn't work out for him and Amstutz. He caught a lot of crap around here and elsewhere for signing the kid on, and it would have been a nice story to have seen him succeed.

And with that, I offer you the obligitory "F*** TOLEDO!"

Sorry. I felt diiiirty.

But imagine how well the Mean Machine are going to play now.

You got Maurice Clarett and this guy in the backfield, Rae Carruth at wide out...and Art Schlichter co-stars as Caretaker
