Perhaps the only thing worse than you thinking Paluch shouldn't be fired, is that you think Sidney Ribeau should be. Sidney Ribeau has instituted locks on tuition increases for well-performing students and students in need. He got dining services to roll over funds from one semester to the next for on campus meal plans. During his tenure, Bowling Green has given out more academic scholarships to incoming students as percent of total expenses (18%) than any other state school in Ohio. Our enrollment continues to increase at a time where most Ohio universities' enrollments are either dropping or staying firm. We have seen the construction of new buildings on campus, such as the Bowen-Thompson student union and I think Olscamp Hall, as well as renovations in Founders, Kohl, and other buildings. All this has been done without a major budget crisis during a time where the State of Ohio has drastically reduced funding to colleges.
And you'd rather fire Sidney Ribeau?

Right on
He is not crazy he just has no idea what he is talking about. Sidney has been great for BG. It is not his fault that the head coach is incompitent.
You can say whatever you want about BG needing a new facility. That is not a major issue. We loved playing in that arena. When that place is pact it is one of the loudest rinks in the league. aside from the rink the rest of our facilities are top shelf. We have a great locker room and a great lounge and we get anything that we want. Beleive me when i tell you that BG has plenty of recruiting tools to attract players to come here. The reason i know this is because i was a player and i did go visit many of the top schools in the nation. So i can say that BG has all the tools to recruit top players. The biggest problem is the coach.
I still have a very good relationship with my coachh from juniors. He told me that everyone knows that Paluch is a bad coach and all the players know that he creates a very bad environment to play college hockey. The main problem that is scaring recruits away is Paluch. The hockey world is very small. Word travels fast and the word on the street is BG could be one of the best places to play college hockey but not with Scott Paluch as the head coach.
When i was being recruited i turned down the school that had the most interest in me because i heard bad things on the coach. So "PDT" you should think before you speak. your comment was one of the most ignorant statements i have ever heard.

Wow, talk about stirring the pot
The Ribeau comment was a joke (hence "flamesuit is on")....

Reading this right here is the reason I believe Paluch has never been given a chance by most of his players. The current players know about this site. Reading stuff like this has got to do wonders for the morale of this teamfreddiethefalconBG wrote:You can say whatever you want about BG needing a new facility. That is not a major issue. Are you kidding me
Paluch has been given way more than a fair chance by his players. The reason why his players hate him and have no respect for him is his own fault.
When you are an ass@$#% and treat people like sh*& which is what Paluch does than in return you players will hate you. Than when you can't coach and show how incompitent you are your players will than loose respect for you. This is the story of Scott Paluch. He did this to himself. He deserves to be fired because he is a bad coach and does not deserve the honor to be the head coach of the falcons.
He did better with Buddy Powers recruits than he has done with his own. His chances have come and gone.
FIRE PALUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I like your spunk, kid, but you're giving Sid too much credit in this area.bgsufalcon24 wrote:We have seen the construction of new buildings on campus, such as the Bowen-Thompson student union and I think Olscamp Hall, as well as renovations in Founders, Kohl, and other buildings. Olscamp and Founders were before his time. East, Union, and Kohl were under his watch.
In respect to athletics, Sid has left a great deal to be desired. On an academic standpoint, his performance has been stallar.

Time to lock this...it's going in the same direction as most other threads and it's no new information or new opinions and I won't tolerate the name calling no matter how you feel about someone. Time to move on!freddiethefalconBG wrote:Paluch has been given way more than a fair chance by his players. The reason why his players hate him and have no respect for him is his own fault.

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."
