fill me in here peeps

Post by BGSUfanatUT »

Background info:

The best game ever (World of WarCraft) is in final testing stages, set for release in 2 weeks. I am addicted to said game, and play it every moment possible, even disregarding food and sleep. Thusly, I have not been active on the boards etc for a while.

request:

Whats all the new info regarding the suspension? Im gathering they are back now after th ND series? If so thats great. Also, how'd we look against ND?

Okay young man - No more Playstation, Xbox, or Computer games for you until after report cards. :-) Do all of us Alumni have to take you to raise???

Suspension over and University displine has been handed out. See the posts below for better information than I could ever give.

Co-op --- Ahhh, that explains your location in Cincinnati and not Toodaleedo.

Should I assume your an engineering student?

ACK! Not again...yes im in engineering. ITs all explined in the member bios forum. IT was ut or ohio northern for me, and toledo jsut impressed me more with facilities and staff. The engineering college almsot acts as a separate entity from teh rest of the school. Our "campus" is all by itself across douglus, and we have our own student governing body etc. Its wuite a good set ut, only catch is we still go to toledo.....technically.

Okay - checked the Bio section. And I don't think you need to apologize for UT as an engineering school. Two of the best BG profs I had out at Tech were UT Grads.

Being that you are studing to be an EE that should have ruled out Ohio Northern - since it is the home of the County (civil) Engineer. Although I know one mechancial that came out of Ohio Northern.

There is a top-notch, nationally recognized M/P/E firm here in Dayton, known as Heapy Engineering. Tthey have a Cincinnati office as well as Columbus. HQ is in Dayton. You should check them out after graduation. Your Cinergy experience should help you, unless you are dying to go back to NE Ohio.

Woah. Hamg on a minute Tech, I think you read to fast or something.

First, I am in Civil engineering, not EE. My uncle is an ONU Civil grad, so Im aware of their history.

You are right though about the county engineers (my cousin is the wood county engineer, well, he is retiring this year) He went to osu, but there are like 3 guys in the office (which is like 1/3 people there) that are ONU grads.

ONU gave me a pile of cash to go there, and it was actually the same cost at toledo after that, but toledo blew me away with the way they presented themselves to me, and ONU kinda half-assed it. Toledo looked to have much more up-to-date facilities and therefore my choice was made.

Huh... I would of thought the Cinergy thingy would have made you an EE. Are you thinking private development, structural, environmental (poopy plants and water plants) or ..... thinking public sector.

I worked for civils, city engineering departments and sanitary departments for my co-ops at BG. Then did the architecture thingy

I worked in Woolpert's Dayton office prior to starting my own practice. check out www.woolpert.com. They have offices all over the place. Very Big firm, nice place to start a career. I was there for 3 years (91 to 94). Did some work for the Cincinnati office for Cincinnati MSD (Metro Sewer District). You flushed in Cincinnati - I saw were it went - I was in EVERY wastewater treatment plant in MSD's district. UGH, but interesting.
