Funny things happen when you dump the puck on net....

our players or coaches for that matter, don't know about this concept everyone speaks of when they say to shoot the puck.

Honestly most goals in hockey are garbage goals off of rebounds and deflections so why not throwing on net instead of looking for the "perfect shot" that never comes.

How about adding some more humor then...

Maybe someone good with photoshop can do something like this with Notre Dame...you know, for inspiration this weekend.

I don't know, during the start of the season they didn't really shoot the puck, but recently they've really gotten the hang out it. By the way, that video was really funny...even though I don't like UND. :)

Just to clarify, I didn't mean you, pdt. I thought that goal was great! It was the initial response that mad me shake my head.

ok, im sorry that i said something taht was true. and yes they have been grasping the concept a little bit better as the season has gone on, but how can you have humor in a thread where the thread is about a team that has lost over 4 times as many games as they have won. I'm sorry, i just can't kid around with stuff like that.

another thing, i think that the title and purpose of this thread is not a "joke" when saying "put it on net" because that is exactly what the team does not do. I want to see the team, i really do, but its hard to be having fun when they don't do well.

Because there are 400,000 other threads about what the team has or hasn't done this year and who's fault it is and blah, blah, blah... to drag more of that into a light-hearted thread, regardless of if it's true or whatever gets old.

Check that. It's BEEN old.

I want this team to win and I'm as frustrated, PO'd, let down, disheartened, etc. that they're losing as much as they are, but it's not the end of the world.

Work with me here. Can they lose enough that they take wins away from LAST season?

The only reason we aren't at the end of the world, is because it's not flat.

Frustrated, PO'd, let down, disheartened, etc....DOESN'T EVEN COME CLOSE to how I feel, not even in the same ballpark...er...ice rink!! ....And it's not the end of the world for me either!

NWLB: :smt042 But are you SURE about the "not flat" part? I am sure if we debated it enough on AZZ, we'd find SOMEONE who would argue the point!!! ...hell, it's probably Pooch's fault!!!! :-D

Was the Frazee in net for the Gophers any relation to our Frazee?
