Good Decision?

Post by Rollo83 »

I wonder if PJ Pope regrets not staying with Bears and signing with Green Bay given Chicago made the Super Bowl? He had the option of staying with Chicago on their practice squad, but he got the league minimum on the Packers roster even though he was active for only one game that I can remember.

I don't think it is ever a bad decision to get on an active roster.

And hindsight is awesome, eh?

He made the right choice. As a Bears fan, I would have loved for him to make the Bears roster, but with TJones, Benson, and unsung but solid Adrian Peterson as a 3rd RB and big ST contributor, he was not getting playing time this year.

Though winning is most important, when you're on a practice squad, you take the money and opportunity to play that comes from going to an active roster, even one of a lesser team than the one you were on the practice squad for.
Finally a senior!
