Lets pack Toledo

Post by da3mite »

Savage Hall is probably going to be a sellout Saturday night. Most of the fans there will of course be Toledo fans. It is going to be a pretty hostile atmosphere for BG and we need to do our best to do the same to the Toledo team.

Lets pack Savage Hall with orange and brown. I know most of you guys come to this game, but we can always use more. I also know that our attendance at Anderson Arena is suffering and it will be difficult to get a lot BG fans to go up to Toledo. If you are going to the game, bring extra people if you can. If you are not planning on going to the game, GO! I know I will be there. Wouldn't it be great if BG wins and there is BG SU! being screamed across the gym by loads and loads of BG fans? Please come! :D

There will probably be a good crowd, but they couldn't sell out that dump if the Cavs moved a home game there.

FWIW, they 'sold out' last week for Miami. They had a womens-mens doubleheader, but it was a sell out.

Did you see any of those games? They might have been "sold out" but there were PLENTY of empty seats!

Yeah, 8,500 out of 10,000. It was practically a ghost town vs. Miami.

Well I'll be there, fifth row center. Probably the only time I don't want UT to win.

Oh, it was full, but it still amazes me how after all these years they can get the fans to dress in the same navy-yellow-navy-orange-red-red-navy-orange-yellow-royal blue-yellow-yellow-red-orange pattern in the upper levels.

Nothing makes going to Toledo worth anything.

Rocket Fans

Post by falconmama2007 »

 This was the most unsportsman like conduct from fans I have seen thus far this season. For the next few years that I will be attending BGSU games I will not attend a home game in Toledo again. The seats were horrible. We were assigned to sit adjacent to the student fan section in a corner. When you tried to move to a better seat the usher would come down and make BG fans move. Well that is except for my party because I wasn't having it. I let the guy know from the start when he tried to harrass me to seat me I was not to be messed with and he backed off. But I witnessed him tell others to move out of unoccupied seats.

The fans were taughting the bench calling them retards, and specifying remarks to individual players and the coach. Toledo showed very poor class and did not act as educated college students but more like animal locked in a cage. At each game they read rules of conduct before the game and they broke dang near everyone of the rules.

I don't speak for everyone, but I have never called a player or coach of the other team a retard

I have never seen......

Post by falconmama2007 »

I have never seen any fans since I have been coming to games in December carry on this way. Marshal was pretty intense, Green Bay too, and OU was really intimidating, but never once did I hear them name call and shout the harsh words that I heard in Toledo. They showed no class what so ever. :(
