BG Ladies vs UT Sunday Anderson Arena 4 PM........
Just a little reminder for those that might still think that the game is at 1pm like your ticket says (season tix holders) , so no one is confused.

After walking back from the Ice Arena tonight, I cannot help but think that attendance is going to be seriously hurt by the weather. It was 5 degrees exiting the IA tonight, and between the IA and Harshman I ran the whole way, and my body was almost half frozen by the time I got inside. How many people who went to hockey tonight are saying to themselves, "no way, I'm not doing that again tomorrow going to and from AA!!"
As it is, I think we'll win this game big, and the fact that we are playing Toledo should counterract the weather conditions.

If they are thinking that I don't want them there, they aren't true fans. I don't care what the weather is, I'll be there on the baseline in all orange, and I hope everyone else is too, and if your scared of the cold, wear layers.bgsufalcon24 wrote:How many people who went to hockey tonight are saying to themselves, "no way, I'm not doing that again tomorrow going to and from AA!!"

It was cold as balls tonight. I remember my freshman year I had to walk a term paper from Darrow to the Psych Building and the windchill was -28. Tonight was the coldest I've been since then.
But yeah -- if a little wind and ice is going to keep you from seeing the number 16 Falcons pound the living crap out of Toledo, something's wrong with you.
Put on a parka and get your ass to the gym.

From Maureen's article today:
"The 1986-87 Falcons, who won the program's first MAC championship, will be honored at the game. Other BGSU women's basketball alumni will be in attendance as well."
Should be a pretty cool reunion!

BG and slUT played last Super Bowl Sunday in Toledo and got a good crowd, so I guess they decided to to it again this yearbgmaggot00 wrote:Playing on Super Bowl Sunday though. Couldn't they have played this yesterday? For real. Regardless, I won't be there, so who cares? Go BG, and GO BEARS!!!

Exactly right. If we were playing a team like Ferris, we'd be looking at an attendance like maybe 396falconboy wrote:Yep, what he said.Jacobs4Heisman wrote:It was cold as balls tonight. Put on a parka and get your ass to the gym.Its rather shamefully that falcon hockey who is done for in the season gets 3k + in the Ice Arena but our #16 lady falcons can only scrap up a crowd of 1400 or so every game. They deserve 3k more than any major BG sport going on right now. That being said the falcon icers were playing a #2 ND so opponent probably has more to to do with it than anything esle sadly.
That could have been a lot uglier...
Down 15 at one point early, BG uses a 10-0 run to get back in it and trails by just 3 at the half. With this team? I expect them to clamp down on D, and let the shots happen and be up by a dozen midway through the second half...
C'MON BG!!!

Yeah, Toledo surprised us a little bit early and shot the lights out in the first 7 minutes or so. But that's turning around now. We'll win this one handily.TG1996 wrote:That could have been a lot uglier...

That was a valid question. This game was actually the first women's game of the season (with school in session) that I didn't go to. I stayed in the dorm because I was watching the Pistons-Cavaliers game, and once that was over, I don't know, I decided not to go for some reason.jacojdm wrote:Aren't you a student? Looks like a nice crowd on the TV.
Ah well, I'll be there on Wednesday.
