2nd Worst Record In College Hockey

Post by freddiethefalconBG »

For those of you that do not realize it we have the 2nd worst record in college hockey.

I just do not understand! Paluch has all of his own recruits and this is where our program is. What will be his excuse this year? I would love to hear everyone's opinion on this.

I have one question for everyone:

Should he still be our head coach or should he be fired?

Someone correct me if I am wrong, but don't we already have a thread on this somewhere?

freddiethefalconBG,

Too bad you don't have what it takes to reply to the other thread. I guess when the heat's on you you have to find a way to move it to coach, after all, it is "all his fault" as you say...

Maybe if the team had the discipline back then to do the right things in the first place, it would have had a few more wins and a few less losses.

I'll just leave it like this. If Paluch isn't fired at the end of this season, I'm never going back to the Ice Arena until he is or until his contract has run out. He has run this program into the ground, and the damage is way beyond repair. Anybody who disagrees with this assertion simply needs to look at the record we've had during his tenure, especially in the postseason.

I thought we had already agreed with this sentiment. No one here (with maybe one exception) thinks Paluch can or will stay. Let's move on.

Yeah i agree there is not really much need for this. This program right now is about as low is it can go. Its amazing how quick most of you guys can become conditioned to accept losing. At the begining of the year if someone said this would be our record most of you would not believe it.

Now after every game people are posting great effort, this guy or that guy played the game of the year. Come on this team is absolutely terrible, lets not kid ourselves with 24 moral victories. In college athletics I would hope a good effort is put forth every nite, they only play 2 games a week.

Not that anyone will miss you...but why would you spite the players because of the coach? According to you they need all the help they can get....and a good crowd helps a lot.

You have the idea of being a fan all wrong, as far as I can tell. We win and being a fan is great! We lose and being a fan sucks so screw it. Like I said, bandwagon. True fans are there despite the record. They feel the elation and depression nearly as strongly as the players themselves. Fans like you are nowhere to be found when the players need you the most.

Haven't you ever heard of a boycott?

In this case, what is your boycott likely to accomplish? You are a student, so you have already paid for your attendance - you can't send a financial message to the AD. You are also only one person - you can't sway the numbers to any meaningful degree in one way or the other. You boycott something to have an adverse affect upon it and send a meaningful message in the hopes of affecting positive change in the process. Please explain to us how your singular absence at hockey games is going to have an adverse affect upon the hockey program, and how that will advance the publicization of your opinion of how much of a loser Pooch is, if you wouldn't mind?

And remember that attendance already sucks, so that argument is already out the window.

You're a student, you've already paid, to boycot by not going to the games, therefore, means nothing.

It sucks, he should be fired today. Recruiting for 2007 , 2008 and 2009 is on the line NOW! They say that Paluch needs his own guys, Jeff Jackson is working with leftovers and his guys. Urban Meyer used someone elses recruits. I do not know if Danton is the guy or someone else. I do know this ain't working. As an un-named players Dad said, give the new coach
$ 120,000 and a percentage of the gate.

The administration will understand 2 things, $$$ and win/lose record.
To express your displeasue the only thing that a fan can do is withhold money. Do not attend games, do not support the Falcon Club, do not buy 50/50 tickets; that is how you show the adminisration. Ah but there is the rub, who gets hurt by doing this? The program and the guys that we care about. We have to go to support our guys now more than ever, even if we are sick of what we are seeing.

I suggest either a for sale sign on Pooch's front yard ( a little tacky eh? )
or we mass with pitchforks and torches at either the new AD's house or Dr. Ribeau's house.

Sounds like a personal vendetta.....did Paluch not give you any business? :smt088

There are right ways to do things, and wrong ways. My guess is that Christopher has heard just about everything there is to hear on this subject. I would also guess that this board has been read by more than just those who post here if you know what I mean.
