new helmet mock up
My input
Thought I would chime in with my take on the helmet. I like where you all have been going with it. Here is my personal ideal bg helmet. Edgy and "Falcony" without looking too much like an xfl helmet.

Re: My input
I like that helmet stripiing a lot. I just do not like the BG-peek-a-boo logo. The B and G being different colors and only half of a falcon head bothers me.
all bowling green
One problem with that helmet is that the upper chin strap snap cause the strap to cover up the logo.
I like the white helmet ideas. I like the use of the BG and retail logo, but I think the alingment of the offset BG with the logo in the upper right fits the proportions of a helmet better. I don't like the pointed stripes at all. I'm a traditionalist in that regard. On a white helmet, I would prefer a solid orange or brown stripe down the middle with the opposite color stripe each side. And I am also a BIG believer in getting the helmet striping to match the striping on the pants and sleeve. Makes the whole uniform better when it is all tied together.

The strap problem you will have. Only way around it is to trim them down.
Also... The general design of the new retail logo and font that the atheletic program is using is very next gen. It's not traditional at all in my opinion. Personally I like the new font and logos. I think it has taken the tradition of the program and our marks, and brought it more up to date with current design stylizing trends. Kudos to the program for not selling out and recreating a whole new look... they kept the general shapes and feel and expanded it. This is the beauty of the many problems of design. Sometimes you have to break the barriers of old traditional designs to establish new ones.
I see what you are saying, but I made the stripes on that one pointed solely to match our pants. We have the pointed stripes on our pants and jerseys now, so this would match fairly well with both the current Home and Road uni's.Warthog wrote:

Seal brown helmet with Orange Falcon logo???
Can someone maybe mock this idea up? I don't think anyone has brought up this idea yet. I'd much rather see a brown helmet than a white one.

of all the things id love to change the helmet needs to stay the same basic idea...its NEVER changed. look at helmet project...every year has the same basic helmet...different logos but same basic design. white is just plain...plain. and im still convinced that our main color should be orange isntead of the brown. brown makes great highlights...or lowlights i should say but keep the primary color orange. it catches the eye more.
i know alot of you want to go with brown jerseys..or basicly browns clone jerseys and i know that we came up with it first, but we're a tad less known then the browns...and we havnt kept it the whole time. and as much money as it would save u browns fans to only have to own one jersey
i just dont think it works for us anymore. our current jerseys are near perfect...and before u say "u made new mock ups" i did that just for fun. after most of those i said "i still say keep our current jerseys" add bg or falcons to the front and theyr'e great... and also keep the bland/cheap brown jerseys for special games and as a throwback. they just dont work all the time.
