What does everyone think? Big game... let's hope for a big crowd!!!

If you're going to get to only one game this year, this is the one!

I'm cautious about the next two games. Ball State is very similar to BG in scoring offense. They are also second to us in points allowed (8 point swing, however).

Up and down the stats chart, BSU and BG pair up pretty well. The game breaker will be how BSU responds to BG's defense.

I like the falcon's chances this being a home game.

NIU may very well be a loss but that's a topic for Thursday.

I saw BG play at Ohio (Ohio loss) and Ohio play at Ball State (Ohio win), and thought that BG was much the better team. BG has the ability to shut down the opposing offense, and I didn't see that with the Cardinals. Their defense relies a lot on Porchia Green pressuring the ball handler from three-quarters court. Although she has a lot of steals on the year, she didn't bother Ohio's PG Quintana Ward much, and I can't imagine Kate Achter will have trouble with her either. Green also is so focused on making steals that she tends to run into backcourt screens, taking herself out of the play.

I would also give BG's post game the edge. Although Julie DeMuth (5'10") and Lisa Rusche (6'1") are both capable players, Mann, Honnegger, and Flynn should score well against them.

I also like Bowling Green's discipline and focus. On two occasions, the Cardinals celebrated made baskets against Ohio, and were burned with Ohio fast break layups on the other end. I can't imagine BG doing the same. If they did, Curt Miller would stomp a hole in the hardwood, or break his ankle trying.

RUIT, you're absolutely right. This is the toughest week of the remaining schedule. BSU and NIU are both very good teams. If we can somehow find a way to get past those two teams, we should be home free, but its not going to be easy.

BG gets a huge, rowdy crowd, and Ball State can't handle the pressure. I think Toledo really woke our team up during that game on Sunday, and I think they'll come out on fire tonight.

BG goes up by 15 in the first half, and coasts in the second.

74-58.

Probably 7pm. But worst case scenario it's 7:30. There are worse things you can do than sit in Anderson Arena for an extra half hour... :D

I'm much warier of NIU than testicle tech. This team just had it's bad game at home -- it won't happen twice in a row.

As far as NIU, road game, in a place where all our teams have had a lot of trouble, hostile fans, possible let-down scenario, 3rd best team in the MAC, etc etc etc. Toughest MAC game of the year is on Sunday IMO.

I think tonight will take care of itself if the fans show up and do their part.

And would it be so hard, for those of you that sit on the opposite side from the students, to actually stand up and cheer once in a while? Maybe during a key run in which the students are constantly motioning towards you to FREAKING DO SOMETHING!!

Sorry -- rant over =)

A-FREAKING-MEN! :D

I know there are a significant number of fans on that side of the arena who lack the physical strength or ability to stand and cheer for long periods of time, but those who can, please do.

We were trying so hard on Sunday to get people to stand, and only a few did. If you can stand and cheer when timeouts are called, then you can stay on your feet and make some noise during the action. We need NOISE! Anderson was getting pretty loud at times on Sunday, and if we really get the whole arena involved, we can get that place rocking!

I'll never understand why we can get a whole section of students to stand and cheer for an entire hockey game, but not for a women's basketball game when our team is in the top 20

I meant to post on this earlier but forgot. Yes many of the people on the team bench sides of the arena don't move at all, it maybe cuz most of them are elderly or disabled or whatnot but the ones who are able and young need to show some some support than just having there person in the seat and sitting there. I can't stand at times the teen girls who sit in the student section and just sit there talking about how much they love Justin Timberlake (or whatever they talk about) while our team is making exciting runs vs our #1 rival and still nothing from them. the entire south side of the SS was pratically sitting through the whole mad run the lady falcons were making until the very last moment.

Just imagine if we just had the SS actually filled with more students and/or student age fans yelling and makin noise. The decibel level of Anderson would be astronomic. As loud as it did get in Andeson last Sunday , its still no where near what it could be if the entire SS was fully into it. I don't know what it'll take to get the SS to that point, maybe its impossible , I hope not, but it might be. :(
