A comment made by some Ball St. fan on the rebkell.net forum......

"You homers seem to think Audie Mac is the only threat State has from down town. If #33 is off, they have solid three point shooters in #1 Tina Bolte, #3 Porchia Green and #12 Kiley Jarrett. Senior Kelsey Corbin has started to take the three pointer as well.

One thing which sets Ball State above the others is how they use their brains and actively THINK each moment they are on the court. So many teams, and Purdue is one of them, operate on autopilot and get easily flummoxed when things don't go as planned.

I think the key match up will be between Liz Honnegar and Lisa Rusche. Tush is having a breakout season and will absolutely go nose to nose with Honnegar and will take no crap.

I had to work the day Ball State played Ohio and I cannot say who or why not the Cardinals lost. I can tell you I am not buying into the complacancy excuse. THe Bobcats are a good team and has a good coach.

This game is too close to call for me, but my heart give the edge to the Cards."

Is this person high?????

I just signed up on Rebkell's webpage a few days ago, and I must say that there are a lot of crazy people on that webpage. This is a perfect case in point. From what I've seen its not completely anti-BG, I just think that the posters there really are homers for whatever team they follow pretty much.

Bowling Green beats Balls Tate 86-76!

Louisville loses to Notre Dame 64-55! I guess UL just learned what happens when you pass BG in the polls.

Attendance was over 2000 again. Hopefully, it will stay there down the stretch.

This team continues to take everybody's best shot and come out on top. Toughest MAC game on the schedule IMO comes up on Saturday. Keep on truckin'.

WAY TO GO FALCONS!!! #35 MAC win in a row, 28th straight at AA>

I don't think people are anti-BG. They're all just getting tired of BGSU WINNING all the time. :D :-D  I LOVE THIS TEAM!!!!!!!!!

21-2, 10-0 MAC. A BiG test comes Saturday at NIU> They are another good team like Ball State.

I've been browsing that message board for a few years.....stopped posting there about a year ago. Generally, they are good people but the vast majority of them are total blowhards who know a LOT less than they give themselves credit for knowing , they believe that major conference teams are the end all, and each one of them has an opinon that, in their mind, matters more than anybody else's. The UConn fans are insufferable (led by the person who goes by "dtsmns") and the Purdue fans are just complete jerks.....PUMatty is the lead idiot among that group. Aside from that, it makes for some good reading and every so often, good info can be picked up. In particular, pay close attention to the person who goes by the name "Camrncrz74" (hope I spelled that right but you'll know who he is). He's a Duke alum (BARF) and a bit arrogant in how he comes across....but his info is spot on and he is the most knowledgable person there. Keep posting!!! Force these people who have never SEEN the Lady Falcons to learn about BG!!!! I may end my self imposed posting restriction and join you if they get too harsh. lol!!!

the game tonight......wow!!! GREAT win. As for NIU.....I just don't see an upset happening in that game....but I'll still be nervous watching on FSN. Stephanie Raymond, their best player (allegedly) is one of the most overrated players in the conference (in my very honest opinion) and I can't wait to see Kate run her ragged all day long.

Awesome game today! First time in the student section for me as I'm usually with the band. Different experience altogether :)

Loved yelling "SIDEBURNS" and seeing bs ref calls upclose :)

Yes indeed. This helps us not only because it knocks Louisville back beneath us in the ranks, but it should help our SOS and RPI as Notre Dame was one of our two losses thus far.

And Greg1, thanks for your comments. I think its interesting how you said that nobody hates BG, they just want to see us lose. I agree with this because I am the same way. If there is a team out there just dominating all others, if you aren't a fan of said team, its always great to see them lose. I'll excuse those Rebkell people for those kinds of feelings, but any unwarranted hating on our lady falcons will definently be dealt with promptly and without prejudice.

I'll never understand why we can get a whole section of students to stand and cheer for an entire hockey game, but not for a women's basketball game when our team is in the top 20

If the girls were out there tackling each other all night we would have no problem getting 5,000 people in that arena every game :D

Sorry -- rant over =)
A-FREAKING-MEN! :D

I know there are a significant number of fans on that side of the arena who lack the physical strength or ability to stand and cheer for long periods of time, but those who can, please do.

We were trying so hard on Sunday to get people to stand, and only a few did. If you can stand and cheer when timeouts are called, then you can stay on your feet and make some noise during the action. We need NOISE! Anderson was getting pretty loud at times on Sunday, and if we really get the whole arena involved, we can get that place rocking!
I was sitting on that opposite end of that side and i was in the front row actually where the sideline squad used to command its territory, i tried to stand and cheer several times, but the problem is that you get several fans that aren't students such as families or others that dont want you stand and everytime i did, i was told to sit down. It is not our fault that we dont stand up and cheer...

Sville does bring up a good point. There are many at Anderson who are opposed to us standing during games. I think its funny whenever students break out their BG Warrior T-shirts that say "if you can't see, stand up" on the back. Some people must really take offense to that.

If the arena people could do something to better separate the students from the families/older crowd, etc, that's probably the best thing to do. The lower end of the east stands, from what I've seen in the past, is probably about 75-80% students, so if we could just get the other 20-25% to sit in their own section via ticket sales, perhaps in the southeast corner, that would go a long way to solve this problem.
