THANKS!!!
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

Just made it home. Out friggin standing!! That was the most fun I've had at any sporting event in a long time. Fantastic crowd. God and Freddy Falcon both know I love The Doyt and I love Anderson, but I do believe that The Ice Arena is the best venue when the crowd in rockin & rollin.

This was the third game I've seen this year (saw one of the UNO games live and watched the first Michigoon game on TV) and I am rather impressed with what I saw tonight. Even though I havn't been to vocal on here, I've said all year that this team has a lot of potential, and should be rather good over the next couple of years. The team has improved each time I've seen this year, which I am very glad to see. I half expected us to shut down after we went down a goal early, and then agian when we went down 2-1. However, they rallied around their goaltender (who made some SportCenter worthy saves if you weren't there, BTW) and didn't back down from a physical Michigoon. It was great to watch. Without getting into the politics of the situation, I do believe that things are moving in the right direction. I hope that tonight is a sign of things to come in the future, and I hope we can keep this success going for the last two weekends in the season.

GREAT JOB ICERS!!!

Darn. I wish I had been there. I know they played decent versus ND but didn't see that coming. A BG win and a Michigan loss is a great night. When it's BG beating Big Blue ... there just aren't the words.

What has made the difference? I know Spratt has been playing great, but is there something that we can point to?

Sure, in the grand scheme of things, it's one win in an otherwise dismal season. But for one night (and actually, almost a full week, thanks to a scheduled off day), we can celebrate a remarkable effort and a big victory (without the "moral" qualifier beforehand) from our Falcons. And whether it's one win over a hockey rival, or a team roaring back from oblivion ala the 2001 football team, THIS is why we support our fellow Falcons everytime they take the field/court/ice, no matter how dark the surroundings, events like this are outstanding!

Congrats to the icers, keep it up and finish strong!

I don't know if something happened off the ice recently to pull things together, but I feel the turning point in the game tonight came mid way through the 2nd period. One of the Michigoon players took a cheap poke/shot at Spratt after he covered up on a great save. Instantly he was surrounded by 3 Falcons, which quickly erupted into a full blown melay. It was one of the best fights I've seen in college hockey. After that, we stopped letting them push us around, started pushing back, and shoved their game back in their face. I don't know you, but I'm sure you would have loved it. It was glorious to watch.

I have the Comcast broadcast recorded live (Windows Media Center). It is currently 17.2GB. I need to figure out how to compress it and cut it to length. Comcast said it was a 7:30 game so I recorded extra to make sure I got it all.

WOW!!! WHAT A GAME!!! I saw on the preview channel the game would be on tape delay on Sports Time Ohio so I stayed off the Net and ESPN.
BO, that's why I wasn't in the chat room, if you're interested. ;)

I told the Freaklings I couldn't believe how well BG was playing. It was GREAT to see the heart, desire and determined play last night. And beating those scumbags was even better.

GREAT JOB ICERS!!!! CONGRATS ON A BIG WIN!

I caught the third period last night on Sports Time Ohio.

Wow. I was saying to myself "Old Time Hockey, like Eddie Shore, Dit Clapper, & Toe Blake. Those guys were the greats!"

In all seriousness: Last night showed why we just can't drop hockey. Ever.
