The silence and the look on their faces - priceless
I almost walked over to the zamboni room and asked for a scraper because I thought they'd need help getting their jaws off the floor :smt040 With the amount of scUM fans at the game, it could easily have felt like a home game to them. I'm really glad they never got into the game. They were rather quiet like they knew exactly what was gonna happen. Only time they really bothered me was when they started yelling during the National Anthem. Totally disrepectful. Oh well, I'm over it. Another loss tonight and their chances of making the NCAA's will further diminish. The loss hurt a lot in that regard.

I just woke up an hour ago thanks to my birthday party, and i couldn't have asked for a better belated gift.

Why we won:
- I've said it before, and I will continue to say this: Jimmy Spratt is one of the top 5 goalies in this league. When he's got a solid defense in front of him that can scrape the puck out, it's hard to beat him. He made every reasonable stop tonight that he saw. The two goals that were let in were defensive lapses, and it's not often a goalie beats a 2 on none.
- BG stayed out of the penalty box for the most part, and when we did get in the box we killed every penalty. We didn't give in to retaliation penalties and played smart hockey.
- When we tied up the game, there was no way we were going to lose. The guys knew they could put this team away and they did it.

We've showed great improvement since the tournament in Columbus. We're peaking at the right time, and hopefully we can finish strong going to (maybe) Nebraska.

Jimmy Spratt has had an amazing couple of weeks. The only thing he has left to learn is how to cover his glove side. If I were a forward, every shot on Spratt would be to ther right because every goal he gives up is on that side. When he starts covering that side like he does every other hole, he will be a league top five, but not until then.

You have to admit though, that glove save on the breakaway was pretty effing sweet.

spratt has played really well of late and if he gets a good defense infront of him, he will be scary good. A goalie is only as good as his defense is.

Tell that to JordanSigalet, he had no defense in front of him, and still looked like the best goalie in the country. My only wish is that I knew then what I do now the things about hockey that I have learned over the last three season. I think I would appreciate siggy just that much more if I had the appropriate knowledge.

Don't get me wrong, Jimmy is a good tender right now. I would like to see the glove side get stronger and see him move to the next level; i.e. amazing.

Don't compare Siggy to Spratt. It's pretty unfair to Jimmy. Siggy is probably the greatest goalie to ever play at this University. How would our basketball players feel if everytime they played a game we said they had to play like Nate Thurmond?

They would probably feel some of the pain that those who got to watch Thurmond play endure right now.

I'm not trying to compare them, because the matchup is unreal. I was merely commenting on what was said about goalies only being as good as their defense.

Probably won't be at the spring game... but you bet your ass there will be a rain check! :-D

Didn't think about it being Senior Night. That's pretty fun. Hopefully they wrap it up with a win over the egg suckers!

Well, the egg suckers just blew a 3 goal lead and had to settle for a tie against scUM. Very possible.
