Florida will soon have a vacancy

Post by bobio »

Just saw that Florida will let their coach go. I hope they don't come calling.

Curt isn't a candidate. For that matter, no mdmajor coach is a candidate for the Gator job.

Florida wants a big time coach with Major Conference experience and Big Dance success or WNBA on their resume. Nell Fortner will be offered an interview and Van Chancellor will be offered an interview. They EXPECT to not have to go any further than 1 of those 2 but if they do have to, it will be someone who is currently coaching in a BCS conference at a school that makes the NCAA tourney this season.

Well Florida does have orange as one of their colors. That means that everything from BG automatically has to migrate toward Florida!

At least until he denies any interest in the Utah job...

If you think Miller won't be a candidate at every big school that has an opening, you're delusional.

I think UF, especially, might consider him, given their penchant for landing great coaches with success at smaller schools.

I'm not saying we need to mention all of them with openings, but I have no doubt Greg Christopher will get a call.

Down boy.

There are some of us who do figure the off season could be interesting.

But, look: This is the best season any women's basketball team has had in the history of the MAC. Let's not spoil it by worrying about April and May.

Miller's not going anywhere this offseason. Take it to the bank.

I have sources close to the situation in Florida. What do YOU have? Don't respond to me with what you THINK and then call me delusional. I happen to KNOW. Something you most definitely do NOT.

Let me say it one more time. Curt Miller is NOT going to be offered an interview with the University of Florida for their Women's head coaching vacancy.

Fellas, I'm pretty sure Coach Miller has a clause in his contract that he can only leave BG to go to certain schools out of his current deal with BG. I doubt Florida is one of them.

This might not even be a joke...Scroll through this transcript of a chat done by Mrs. Meyer at GatorCountry.com...the writing style and capitalization is eerily similar!

Mrs. Meyer, if it is you, congratulation on the national championship and tell Urban to steer those second tier Florida recruits to us.
