I very much wish to see Ball State get an at large bid for the sake of the conference, but for the sake of Charlie Creme could somone PLEASE explain to me how BSU gets a 10 seed this year as an at-large from the MAC and BG got a 12 seed last year as a 3-loss (or was it two?) MAC champion? I mean absolutely no disrespect to the conference, and I would like to believe that the success of BG has brought a renewed respect to the MAC itself, but I have a very hard time believing that given the current climate of women's college basketball.
All that being said, I hope and pray that BSU gets a berth in the NCAA's. Like I said, none of my observations are intended to be a slight to their program. I see BG, BSU, NIU and OU being players in the national WCB scene for years to come, and that only bodes well for the MAC so far as recruiting goes.

This year is extremely craptastic for middle of the pack major conference teams. The quality of depth just isn't there in the high majors, so a lot of the smaller schools get bumped up. I firmly believe last year's BG team would be an 8-9 this year. Hell, the Colonial has 3 teams in the latest projection.
Also, this year's BG team probably wouldn't have even sniffed a 7 seed last year. This year, a 4-6 is where we're locked in if we run the table.

I guess that has to be the case because Ball St. doesn't have many quality wins this year.Jacobs4Heisman wrote:This year is extremely craptastic for middle of the pack major conference teams.
