Just now heard the first national mention of the events of Tuesday night. I've got ESPN Radio on & they have some guy filling in for Dan Patrick today. He recounted the events of Tuesday and basically called it the worst homer-job of the officials he's ever seen.
He ended his comments by saying, "Well, that's the Mid American Conference for ya." Not sure what he meant by that...doubt he really has enough familiarity with the conference to speak objectively about the officiating as a whole.
Oh well, just thought I'd share that it does appear to have made national mention on at least some level. And this guy agreed with the general consensus on the board.

I only heard the show a little bit this afternoon, but I'm relatively sure it was Doug Gottlieb that was hosting Patrick's show today. If it was him, I'm sure he's seen enough film as an ESPN basketball analyst to understand what most of us already know, and that is the level of MAC officiating can be inferior at times compared to other conferences.
Also, the USA Today had a snippet of the incident in it for more national coverage.

The MAC has issues, and they are growing in number by the day.
BGSU has issues, and they are growing in number by the day.

If this happened to tosu against a B11 team you better believe that it would be all over the news, heck they would be talking about how they got hosed for years to come..... But alas we a little ol' BGSU and they hardly mention it. I hope someone in the athletic department really starts stirring up controversy over this whole issue....

I saw it on Sportscenter last night. They actually had the build up and everything with it. They made it feel as though BG really got dicked over, and they even mentioned that some players had been in the shower!
4th & 13 on PU 32yd line.. 56,000 fans up on their feet screaming, i held my breath the entire play trying to make as little noise as possible.. wouldnt u know Sharon would make the biggest touchdown catch in the history of BG Football, FALCON UP!
