2007 Recruiting Class Not Done???

Post by Falconboy »

I distinctly remember reading at the end of one article on BG's recruiting class with a quote by Brandon saying he still a a few more schollies in his back pocket to give out. Does this mean we're still on some guys that no one knows of still ? Does anyone remember reading this too , I tried finding it on the Sentiel's site and the Blade but haven't found it yet.

Okay, never mind I found it , is in the Sentinel article.

Falcons ink two kickers
After banking on two highly-touted freshmen kickers for the 2006 football season, Bowling Green head coach Gregg Brandon is going in a different direction for 2007.
There are two junior college kickers in the 2007 recruiting class for the Falcons and both are enrolled at BG for the spring semester. The two freshmen kickers left the team after the season.
Brandon announced a total of 20 recruits on Wednesday, which is the first day high school recruits can sign national letters of intent. He said that he still has a couple of scholarships in his hip pocket, if needed.

There was a WR from FL that had commited to Louisville, but lost his scholly offer after the new coaching staff went in there. He said he wasn't going to commit anywhere on signing day. He had BG high on his list, AFAIK he has yet to decide.

I'm pretty sure that bit about having more schollies was mentioned in a story on signing day last year. We then signed Zach Charles a day or so later

I'm thinking this might be the kid we might still have a chance at.
