I suppose it came down to the MAC saying: "Apologize, Dan, or we will suspend you."
I wonder if Dakich was tempted to just take the suspension. On the one hand, it's about over no matter what happens. On the other -- it is a crappy way to go out with a group of kids you grown close to.
Close call, to me.
I'll freakin' miss Dan Dakich. He's still got fire in his belly.
