BG at Ferris, Saturday, 2/17, 5PM

Post by bgbill »

With the game starting at 5PM Saturday, maybe some of you who have always had a burning desire to visit Ferris State, and/or the beautiful city of Big Rapids, Michigan, can work it into your weekend. It's about 4 hours from BG to Big Rapids (unless I'm driving).

We drove up and back in the same day/night once when I was a student. My car was in the shop and I had my mothers' Toyota Camry. She was really ticked off when I returned her car and she saw the mileage I had put on it. I put more mileage on the thing in three weeks than she had in almost six months.

we were planing on making the trip but i just recieved an invite to grouse and hog hunt souther ohio this weekend so I will be following from a distance.

I think we will win, the team is playing very well and we have our players back now from sickness and injury, so in addition we are actually getting to see the team we should have had all year...bummer but the up side is it just shows how we are and what a good job the coaches have done with these kids.

You have more excuses than anyone i have ever met. Quick question macman, Does paluch pay you to talk him up?

The fact that you still back paluch shows that you either have a mental problem or he's got you in his pocket. Let's get real here and stop making up excuses for why we are dead last again. All you do is make up one excuse after the other. You are a joke and so is Paluch.

Paluch is a terrible coach, he has doen nothing but hurt the Falcon hockey program since he was hired5 years ago. There is no denying it. There is nothing you can say that can make people think differently. Paluch had his chances and has failed. Just look at his record as a head coach at BG. He has the worst record in the history of the school. There is nothing you can say to defend him. Stop with your excuses. It is time to let him go and get a real coach in here.

It does not matter how well the boys play for the rest of the year. This season has been a disaster. Stop trying to blame it on injuries. That is all you do. Enough of your nonsense. If you really cared about this program you would agree with everyone else. It is time to move on and find a new head coach.

Quick question: do you cut and paste each sentence of that post from some on-line rantionary?

Geez, here we go again....

And don't assume EVERYONE feels the way you do, because some of us DO NOT!!

We all know how this season has played out (and none of us are happy about it), but I, for one, am hoping to salvage some positives out of it. Whatever happens to Paluch after the season is over is up to Greg Christopher and NO ONE ELSE. My job, as a long time, die-hard fan, is to support the current players AND COACHING STAFF, no matter what happens. PERIOD. I hope to sweep Ferris. Will we? I don't know. Can we? Absoulutely, especially given the way the team has played the last few weeks. Do not assume that you and the other former players who post here have turned all of us away...YOU HAVEN'T AND YOU NEVER WILL!!!

It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

And you, sir, are a coward who will not answer questions posed to you where the answer might make you look bad. Grow up. We're sick and tired of hearing how you think this and you think that. It's all getting extremely childish on your part. Wah, he's a bad coach. Wah, I don't like him. Wah, wah, wah. That's all we're hearing right now. Cry me a freaking river.

Let MacMan have his opinion. I don't agree with him either as far as Paluch is concerned, but this horse is way past dead. I'm willing to wait and see what the administration does at the end of the season. I will be disappointed if something doesn't change. Until then, let's move on.

You know...coach is not going anywhere. You dont need to wait and see what the administration will do, they have no plans to out him. he is doing a fine job has had to deal with the woosies from last year and adversary this year and no one can say different.
In the end this team is good, sure the w's dont mount up to proving that, but the W's from a whole healthy are demonstrative of nothing less than good solid hockey.

I started the season with every confidence in this team, no one could forsee the sickness and injuries that crippled the team...but those set backs, will prove to have improved our youngest players and those game experiences would not have been as strong with out the plague of issue that befell this team this season.

We are in great shape...sure it sucks to have lost all those games, but we know with a near 100% team we could hang with ND a team which no one thought would be on top...that with only 1 guy out we beat MI and lost one. How is this unacceptable, that when the team is whole they are competitive, playing solid, fast hockey.
your nuts and some of you...past woosie players just are vindictive against a coach who for only one you reason his philosophy on the game (which is identically to Jerry Yorks by the way) you dont agree...so to you...I say even if you had been good enough to play for the likes of BC you would have not been happy. thats the bottom line.

It looks like the OSU/UNO games this weekend will go a long way in determining that. But don't count WMU out either. Most likely one of those three teams.

He tries to mimic Jerry York's coaching style. Unfortunately, he is no Jerry York.

When York coached at BG, many players didn't like him. I am sure it is the same at BC. However, they all respect him. Respect is a very critical element of coaching, and it has to be earned. Paluch will have a difficult time earning respect with his lack of ability to communicate with players
