By far the most impressive game of the year. This is our second road win in a row!CrazyFan wrote:It's a great feeling to come out and absolutely run somebody. Now hopefully we can run the Bobkitties. It's about time for OhioBobcat to rear his head and start his nonsense aroud here isnt it??

Can I say that I feel quite lucky to have been at this game. I have not actually seen a game all year. I have listened, watched gametracker, and read others observations, but haven't seen a game. This team that played tonight, was not the same team that I have read/heard about it. Dan and I talked to Maureen at the half, She said this was the best she had seen BG play. The ball moved constantly on offense. Always being passed and getting excellent shots. On Defense the guys were great. As soon as the ball game in to the post, 3 guys were around it, shots at the perimeter were well guarded. Over all it was a fun game to watch. Including Dan and I, I think there were 6 BG fans that I saw but oh well. Sat next to one of Bland's high school coaches (he also had a former player on Moreheads team).

Where has this team been? I expected a rough start, but thought it would get better as the season went on. What we have seen is a team taking one step forward and then three steps back. That is until recently. Had we played like this at Buffalo things would have been MUCH different. Hopefully all of the pain of the last few months is going to pay off in a nice tournament run. We may not win the MAC tournament, but I would love to see us play "spoiler" late.

It is great that we went out and won on the road, and great that we blew someone out. However, according to Sagarin, we have only played two worse teams all year (one of whom we lost to), so this game was like much of our pre-MAC schedule.
I hope the team really is turning the corner. If they are, the OU game is a perfect chance to prove it. OU is a good team that drilled us at their place. They have also been hit and miss lately, and lost to NIU. It is a team we could easily see in the first round of the tourney. So, let's demonstrate we are making progress on the AA floor Wednesday.

According to "Sagarin" we have played only 2 worse teams all year...but according to "Vegas", we were a 2 1/2 point underdog--bottom line. We got it done big time as underdogs. Don't make it seem like we were due for blowing someone out. Morehead St. was thinking they could get us just like we got them. It was a good win...period.
I caught the late parts of the OU-New Mex St. game last night. OU was up 18 at half and lost. NMSU really brought the heat on D and played well down low (I was half asleep, but it seemed like they had a few experienced big men which helped that.) I'm hoping that BG can continue to bring the effort they've brought the last two games (aside from some of the usual sloppyness that showed up in the UB game) and OU can slide for another game or so. Either way, I can't wait to get back to AA for a hoops game!!orangeandbrown wrote:I hope the team really is turning the corner. If they are, the OU game is a perfect chance to prove it.
