To each his own, I guess. Some people like steak that tastes like steak, some people like steak that tastes like it's fresh from Barbaro's hospital room.hammb wrote:I'm with TG. Roll Along!
I can go get you some, foodsaver them, and have them next day shipped to you. All I ask in return is your left thumb & Kidney. I want the thumb to replace mine that still has a big cut in it. I figure I can sell the kidney on eBay to cover my costs of shipping you the breadsticks.SaxyIrishTenor wrote:I would give my left everything for chicken and cheese breadsticks right about now.
Well, I've never had the steak at either place, so I can't really speak for that. My biggest problem with Qdoba is the choice they don't have...I always get the Carnitas at Chipotle and they don't even have that at Qdoba. I've had chicken at both places and liked Chipotle better.Jacobs4Heisman wrote: To each his own, I guess. Chipotle's chips are like a billion times better as well...possibly the best chips ever.

I did like the white cheese dip at Qdoba, but that's about it. It always seemed so dry to me. Though if Qdoba had anything rivaling the corn salsa, I'd probably look past the dry steak and tortilla.

You nailed it Hammb! I remember when I was in school I had lots of friends from other universities (Miami, OU, Villanova, etc) come to visit and I'd take them to Myles for pizza. They would rave about how awesome it was for days!! Even my buds from Philly liked the Spots cheese- steaks! Now that's saying something....hammb wrote:To me BG has a couple of institutions that are unrivaled for food.
1. Myle's Pizza. Garlic bread w/ cheese and a fantastic Pizza...love this place.
2. J4H's secret. Campus Polleye's Chicken & Cheese stuffed sticks.
3. Mr. Spot's. Double Firesteak with peppers, onions, and provolone.
Southside 6 is probably worthy of getting on this list. Their gyro's are fantastic and the prices are even better. I've been to nearly every restaurant in Greektown at Detroit and I don't think any of them make a gyro as good as Saul. Pisanello's, Zarape, and Corner Grill are all worthy of inclusion as well. But the above are my faves.

I like El Zarape, Qdoba, Chipotle, and yes even Taco Bell (okay so I like Mexican food). I like El Zarape because you can get more variety...especially my favorite, enchiladas. Not as good as homemade, but decent enough for Northwest Ohio. I like Qdoba because they have frequent buy one get one free sales....this ideal for my roommate and me because we're cheap and lazy. I like Chipotle because they have more spices, but that's the only big difference I've noticed. Taco Bell is a favorite because it is insanely cheap, tastes decent, and makes for some adventures...both sober and drunk (or my favorite, being sober when others are drunk!).
I must agree though that my favorite place is Myles Dairy Queen....you can not beat their blizzards, although they did up the price on them up to $2.50 (it was $2.25). Still that is a value for the mountain of ice cream you get.

I believe the price increase is directly related to the increase in minimum wage....Most restaurants have done at least $.25 across their menus.Falconfliccbone wrote: I must agree though that my favorite place is Myles Dairy Queen....you can not beat their blizzards, although they did up the price on them up to $2.50 (it was $2.25). That was the best. Grolsch in a flip top with all you can eat pie. Good times, good times.
