UB Student Section: Fools

I had the opportunity to watch the Falcons dismantle yet another team on Saturday, the unfortunate victims in this case being the Buffalo Bulls.

The crowd was announced at 786, with about 300 people probably there in person and about 75 BG fans.

Unfortunately, a band of 10-15 drunken dunces seated a few rows up behind the BG team bench decided to hurl varying degrees of bile at our womens basketball team and fans throughout the entire game.

The most consistent and audible chant was a denouncement of BG 'cheating,' apparently in reference to the referees cheating us out of a mens victory earlier in the week.

At one point, a UB player looked over to the morons as they were harassing one of our foul shooters and rolled her eyes in disgust. You know its crossed the line when your own team is embarrased with you.

By the end of the game, as Megan Thorburn sank her 6th 3, they went with "You are classless" as their final, pathetic salvo, failing to appreciate the irony in a bunch of obscene drunks criticizing the class of another.

Curt called off the dogs with about 8 minutes to go or the margin would have been 60. For the sake of those 10-15 fools, I wish he hadn't.

That sure is funny , coming from fans of a school that hasn't done squat in any major sport , W or M B-ball, Football , you name it.

When we went up for the football game in 2005, they were like that. Saying things like BG being overrated and telling us to get the hell outta Buffalo.

The best thing to do is beat 'em and laugh. Always works like a charm. Buffalo isn't a treat but still better than the treatment you get at CMU. THAT bunch is the worst.

wow there are five MAC schools I haven't been to, and three have been said to have the biggest a-holes in the MAC. Can't wait til I finally make the trips to CMU, Buffalo, and Northern
