BG cruise to 89-66 WIN over Kent......
Thor cools off considerably (0 pts) but others step up and 6 falcons get in double figures! Amber Flynn with 21 and should be the lock for 6 Man of the Year Award.
Now , everyone get out for these LAST 2 HOME GAMES this Sat and next Wed. vs OU & Miami.

That's not how I remember it, however, I'm 'down' with the thematic play.BGSU Crazy Fan 58 wrote:As the saying around here goes,

Great win!
As I posted in the chat room, I really love this team. I believe the defense is the most impressive part of the team. I wonder if they would conduct clinics to some of our men's clubs.

The Freak, my wife and I sat together behind the Falcon bench (OK, about 15 rows behind).... After a sluggish start with some missed driving layups and losing a LOT of Off. Rebounds to the Flashes, BG came alive...though Kent has three girls 6'2" or taller, with one being 6'5", they didn't really bother us that much inside until later in the game when some pretty neat entry passes got through or over Falcon defenders to the big girls, who finished.
The stars, as far as we were concerned, were Amber Flynn, who just lit it up with some strong post moves and Lindsey Goldsberry, who's just a PEST on D, and chipped in with 12 pts. Kent was led by point guard Kristin Peoples, who was OUTSTANDING from the outside, hitting three 3pointers, two of which were in the air as the shot clock was about to go off, negating some good BG defense. But our balance was absolutely outstanding. If Liz Honegger had hit another three, we'd have had SEVEN double figure scorers!!
I was hoping to see our two freshmen get some time, but only Tara Breske got in , for the last 2 min. or so.... too little time to see or evaluate her. Another fun nite...2nd time we've had a chance to see the ladies play... won't be able to see another until tournament time at the Q.
Almost forgot....another nice turnout of BG fans...guessing 150+ at least.

Boy, that sure does refute RUIT's contention about Football and Hockey. You sure showed him.cowboyjoe wrote:What are you talking about? Mens basketball is 24th out of 336 Division 1 teams in Field-Goal Percentage Defense at 39.8%, 78th in steals, and 82nd in blocked shots. Not bad stats for a 2-10 team in conference play.
Reading is Fun-damental.

I certainly hope Dakich can do something about our football and hockey defenses. If he doesn't, I fear he may not get another contract. I mean, if Tom Izzo can do it, why not Dan?
