Goosebumps!!

Men's Chorus doing the SSB at the game tonight was amazing, as always!! Great job guys!! That, along with the Qdoba contest, was the hi-lite of the night!

I'll take that compliment and relay it Friday afternoon in rehearsal. Thank you very much. That organization is the best thing I have EVER been involved with. I also believe it's one of the best things this university has going for it. Anyone around here who has never made it to concert, should get to the one coming up in April.

Yep!! Now that's the way the National Anthem is supposed to sound. GREAT JOB!!!! I pretty much had the same hi-lites that you did. I wonder just how many burritos that guy is going to get. One a day, a week???? Just what is that prize worth?????

Speaking of the game (ouch ) - we pretty much sucked on both ends of the court. Do you think the guys are just waiting for this God awful season to get over with and find out who their new coach is going to be? I see talent out there but not much of a TEAM. Maybe next year - it sure can't be any worse than this year.

You guys still enter singing "Zing Dem Herring" {or something}.

There isn't a dry seat in the house after that!

It's "Herrn" lol... or else maybe they ARE singing about a fish. Total thread-jack here... but did you hear Wallace DePue was nominated for a Pulitzer prize in music this year? He arranged the version of Zing Dem Herrn that Men's Chorus always used to process to.

GET OUT!!!!!

WDePue is and always has been brilliant. It's about time his notoriety matched his talent.

Herring *chuckle* I couldn't help but think of that muppet character with the boomerang fish whilst typing that.

At the BG/Kent women's game, the KSU men's chorus sang the SSB and it was awesome as well. The way is should be done.

Congrats Men's Chorus!

They should know how to sing it. Their director is BGSU and Men's Chorus alum Dr. Ben Ayling. Aside from being one of the best directors in the state he also has an international barbershop gold medal.

My understanding of FREE BURRITOS FOR A YEAR is he gets one free burrito a month for 12 months.

Same guy also won the 50/50 drawing last night.

Hey Niz, what event does the chorus have on March 24? If you have something it's not on the website. I can't wait to hear the arrangements of AZZ and Forward Falcons.

On March 24th the Glee Club from Miami (Oh) is coming to town to do a joint concert with us at 8pm in Kobacker hall. We did somthing similar with ONU and KSU last year and it was pretty successful.

KSU has a fine Men's Chorus. One of the proudest moments of my tenure thus far here in BG came at the aforementioned joint concert last year when all three ensembles performed Brother's Sing On together as the finale. I'm going to try and send a copy of that recording to Grant so everyone can enjoy it. IT WILL DAMN NEAR MAKE YOU CRY if you ever hear it.

Mr. Lyons, I finally have brought a group together to get the job done with the FF and AZZ. The one and only chance we'll have to sing it is at the last home women's BBall game next wednesday.

We do still process to Sing Dem Herrn, although for last semesters veteran's day concert we left it out in place of another processinal. It is back for this tour though, and for the first time ever, the ending will be in tune.

That was a great concert last year...AMAZING!! I'm really bummed that I have to miss the concert in March because it's during Dance Marathon, and I signed up to be a dancer. I was this close to being a moraler just so I could leave and go to your concert. But I'll be at the one in April!!

It's too bad you guys can't sing the SSB for Saturday's game...that would be awesome (especially since I missed it last night  ). I'm really excited though to hear Ay Zig and Forwards Falcons. You can never go wrong with the Men's Chorus.

Hearing AZZ and FF this year probably won't happen. I just remembered that I'm tied up with a band concert on Wednesday night, and no one can rehearse for it Saturday morning :(

Falcon hoops is officially over for 2007. The last five posts in the hoops forum have been about the men's chorus. How long before posters start calling for the director's head? ;-)
