2 Stories of Tonights Game

Post by BGSU_via_UDel »

1. Toledo 31 NIU 17
2. Toledo 520 Total Yards NIU 180 Total Yards

180 total yards is laughable. I think we had that after the first 5 minutes of our last game. Now I am not comparing the competition but thats just absurd. 19 total yards in the 2nd half, cmon Toledo's D isn't that good.

The last story is Bob Davie's commentating. Where did they get this guy from? I have heard him telecast several times before and each time he sounds like an idiot. He misprounces names and schools (Grudclawski or whatever and Bowling Green State??? WTF noone calls us that!). Oh and he first said Toledo plays @ BG and he said that Toledo has to watch out for us and then at the end he says...."If I am Bowling Green, I would watch out because I will have my hands full" Oh please, does this guy have a clue? Has he watched any of our games? The game will be decided on the field and given NIU's progression (giving up 31 to WMU (1-8), going to OT with Ball State (1-8) and losing to Toledo badly) THEY will have their hands full @ Eastern Michigan, a team who has put it together since last year and will hopefully come to play next Saturday.

If I was a casual football fan just watching that game last night, I still wouldn't know the Toledo QB's name as Davie proniunced it different every time he said it.

I seriously think he gets on the sauce before he broadcasts.
