Third.

We watched the third period standing next to the Zamboni doors, and while I couldn't remember who the seniors were as the game went on, it was unmistakable as Unger started to skate off with the team, and kind of looped back around center ice and paused for a minute.

My last few trips to the Ice Arena have turned out less than pleasantly. This game was a nice change of pace. One thing I commented to my dad on as we walked back to the car... if they decide they need to build a new arena altogether, I hope they keep a sizeable section at the end for standing along the glass. Hearing the kids next to me "ooh and ahh" at pucks coming at them and body checks right in front of us reminded me of going to games when I was a kid and standing in the corner. Great crowd and a very good effort tonight!

Thank you seniors!

Unger has always been a tough player and tonight was no exception. I feel bad that he had to end his senior night this way, especially after being injured for part of the season. It's been a joy to watch him play.

unger was a great asset to this team and will be missed along with bronson. I think that this team has really shown good signs and i think we will be much improved next year whther pooch is coach or not.

Seniors

Hey! As bad as this season turned out to be, a real thanks to all the guys that gave it their all for us this season.

On a level, I understand there is only so much a single guy can do. I know that you tried your best. We are fans. We look at the wins and losses first too often. We let our emotions get carried away sometimes. For those of you gave it your all, I thank you. God bless you in what you go on to do.

i am about 95% sure that the marketing dpt. decided who was able to do the national anthem, not too sure about the canadian anthem seeing as both seniors were from ohio..

I heard somewhere that they usually do that for the senior night, but I'm not sure where.

It's tradition

Post by TheKa »

The reason they sang the Canadian National anthem is that it is a tradition. I believe it began as a honor to the outgoing seniors from Canada and past University President Paul Olscamp used to do the honors. He was afterall, a Canadian. He had a decent voice too.

As far as whatever that was for the Star Spangled Banner?? I understand nerves, but it was horrible. My 2 little cousins are 7 and 3 and are trying to learn the words to the song...they had no idea what was being played last night!

GO FALCONS!
GO GREEN, GO WHITE, GO SUCK AN EGG!
GO BRONCOS! (I can't fly to UNO, but I can drive to K-Zoo! Besides, what is well known is that I DO NOT LIKE UNO!)

I was down by the zamboni doors when the guy came off the ice. He was not happy with his performance at all. He had way too much feed back and distortion for it to sound good. He needed a lot bigger amp to even come close.

That being said, if they are going to do a musical National Anthem (other than singing) there is only one choice as to who should perform it....THE BAND!

Congrats to Bronson and Unger for all you have accomplished, and thank you for staying with us through these troubling times. There is no doubt in my mind that the two of you gave all you had every time you stepped on the ice.
