Good find, German Falcon. After wading through the Berlin Thunder news page in German, I found out I could have just read it in English:
...Jacobs, who will be a member of the Berlin Thunder this season, was a Heisman Trophy contender during his three years at Bowling Green, where he threw for 6,938 yards, 71 touchdowns and only 11 interceptions. He was a fifth-round selection of the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2006 and has practice squad experience with the Steelers and the Philadelphia Eagles.
NFL.com doesn't list Steve Sanders yet, but here are the three QB's that the NFL are allocating to the Berlin Thunder.
Seattle Seahawks Travis Lulay QB Montana State
Kansas City Chiefs Omar Jacobs QB Bowling Green
Free Agent Walter Washington QB Temple
Don't really know too much about the other two guys. However, considering that Montana State is I-AA and Temple is.....well, Temple....I think the Germans might be seeing quite a bit of Omar this season.
Great news! I was really hoping that Omar would get a shot in NFL Europe. I really think he just needs more game time, and the doubts will disappear.

I remember NFL Europe games being on Fox tv usually late in the evening right out midnight or so on either Sat. or Sunday nights. I think the Berlin Thunder were a team I somewhat remember seeing on tv before , so maybe there's a decent chance of seeing Omar on tv sometime.jeebus wrote:i wonder if the games will ever be on tv, i read once they had an american tv schedule...but ive never seen the games on...id love to see omar in action again

NFLE games are shown on the NFL network frequently. You can find the tv schedule at http://www.nfleurope.com/multimedia/schedules/tv

Walter Washington left Temple after his junior year. Decent athlete coming out of college, though I believe most other schools looked at him as a TE or LB.
Thanks for the info. Didn't know much about him.1987alum wrote:mmisbg:

Interesting side note, just as I was posted this message, a bunch of info about Montana State got posted. Apparently the third QB on the list's alma mater is having quite a bit of trouble.
Not that it is actually relavent to this conversation. Just thought it was ironic since double A schools rarely have press.
Go Falcons!
