I was thinking we would play UNO and I must say I think we are going to take the series. We are playing well and in the end lets face it have nothing to loose and everything to gain. While unsure about what would happen next I think we will beat UNO and that those victories could give the momentum to go on. Which would be a great finish to our season and start of next year.

I gotta say I like our chances much better now than I did a month ago. UNO has beaten BG 4 times this year so it's time for some pay-back! Spratt has been much better in net which is key to this Falcon team winning. We have got to play stiff defense and give 100% on every shift!!!

f**k!!

We're screwed. Here comes another 2-0 sweep out of the playoffs. UNO OWNS US!

Against any other team, I'd say we have a good chance because of Spratt's recent good play and our newfound goal scoring (ie: actually putting somebody in front of the goal on offense like every other hockey team in the world), but against UNO, I'm sorry, but they kill us every time. Add in the fact that Paluch is the worst playoff hockey coach in all of D-I, and we're in big trouble.

One of the rougher parts about this trip is going to be the fact the team won't be flying out. That's going to be a rough 12 hour bus trip.

Hey 24, ever heard the phrase if you don't have anything productive to say, don't say anything at all?

Well crap. I'm going to be in St. Joseph, MO Saturday morning. St. Joe's is about 2 hours south of Omaha on I-29. Should I spend the extra time and money to go up there? Anyone else going?

I can't make it, but if I had the chance to spend 2 hours on I29, I wouldn't even think twice. As Nike says, "Just do it!"

How can I be optimistic? We suck at hockey this year, and for us to win 2 of 3 on the road against a superior team is going to be very tough, perhaps impossible. Winning two of three against a team that undisputably has our number, that's even tougher. The sooner that all of you get that through your skulls, the easier it will be to accept what is coming our way.

Here's the clincher. Can somebody please tell me what our record is, and what our playoff record under Scott Paluch is?

I rest my case. I'm not gonna say anything more about this until the series

Do you own a jacket, or just only go out when the weather's fair?

It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

It's playoff time and the record books are out the window at this point. Not to be trite, but it is a new season.

The lads are play well. I like BG's chances as well. We'll see what transpires.

I promise, and if I break then I get you can discredit me some more, because you'll have some added evidence.

Now since BGDrew's question about the weather has nothing to do with hockey, I'll go ahead and answer his post.

For the record, I went to all three of our last home games, and enjoyed all three of them to some extent, most notably UM. I've been to LOTS of games this season, from the opener with Connecticuit, all the way through the last few games of the season. Don't talk to me about not supporting the team, you're barking up the wrong tree. I go to games regardless of what the teams records are. I've been to ALL the home football games this season, including the Clash in Cleveland, a lot of the men's and women's basketball games, and a good bunch of the hockey games. I've been on the floor for some of the basketball games and on the glass for several hockey games as well.

I go to games if they make me happier as a person to attend them. Once that is no longer the case, then I will not attend or watch. Period. If that makes me fairweather in your mind, then so be it.

It's fairweather to not pull for your teams at all times. Giving up isn't admirable at all.

I find this interesting, as I know your roomate, and he said the first hockey game you went to this season was Notre Dame. :-k
