BG drops to 19th in AP

If my addition is correct. Haven't seen a list, just the story...

No. 12 Oklahoma and No. 13 Vanderbilt traded places from last
week. Texas A&M jumped two spots to 14th after winning at Baylor
and was followed by Purdue, Baylor, Middle Tennessee, Rutgers,
Bowling Green and Louisville.

Wouldn't surprise me that much -- we had a HUGE lead in votes on #19 last week.

It's a pretty big step for the program when a loss only drops you one spot in the AP poll. I wonder how many votes we lost.

No doubt, J4H. I thought for sure we would drop to #24-25 or even out entirely. I must say I am pleased we are still #19!

Wed night cannot get here soon enough. I think I need to borrow one of the Freaklings' orange wigs for this game.

Looking at 19-24, we were very close to dropping down that far. Big logjam right there. Even if we win out, I doubt we'll hold on to #19.

Still pretty sweet to only drop one spot though. Other teams losing beneath us helped out.

On the other hand, Rutgers plays UCONN tonight.

They've had a pretty solid run in the Big East, but have gotten drilled by some top teams (Duke by 40 at home) in their losses. They lost at UCONN by 9 in the first meeting.

Win the rest of the way and we might hop up a spot or two. Or we could win out and drop three spots. I still think we're in the dance unless the unthinkable happens.

Rutgers lost by 26 at home to UCONN, Louisville lost in OT at home to WVU.
