THAT would ROCK!!! East Lansing is a very doable road game for the Freaks. I've wondered why we haven't played MSU more than that one game in 1981. Heck, we play them is many sports almost on a yearly basis.

Did they get Jud Heathcoate's permission before scheduling this game?

An interesting curveball, but I'll take it.

So the allegedly known games are:

9/1 @ Minnesota
9/8 @ Michigan St.
9/15 ??? (MAC, hopefully home?)
9/22 ??? MAC again
9/29 vs. BOISE STATE
10/6 @ Boston College
10/13 on... MAC-A-THON!
Thanksgiving-ish vs. TOLEDO

Despite only 5 home games, that's still a pretty impressive schedule. If they haven't made an announcement already, I'd assume we have a home game on 10/13 for Homecoming, that usually seems to be the weekend they do it.

Yeah!!! My family is from western Michigan...actually...all of those people are dead, but I still love tha area.

Look out folks...we're heading to the land of the burning couch. Party on Sparty.

So...no Minnesota then? Screw the gophers!! I hate domed stadiums...they'd even turn macman gay.

Don't you mean 10/16 on? We shouldn't get our hopes up too much for a slate of Saturday games. :)

So does this mean that we get a return game from MSU next year?
I would see that as a big step up compared to Minn. I assume their fans would travel well and make that a sellout at the Doyt.

Minnesota is 9/1.

And from the photos I've seen around here, MACMAN can handle the gay thing himself without the help of Hubert H. Humphrey. :-D

I thought we were playing Western Kentucky and Michigan on 9/1. We're getting double booked faster than a 10 year old boy at a NAMBLA meeting

Those will straighten out when Michigan joins the Sun Belt and Western Kentucky enters the MAC West after UT goes to the Big East.

I can only imagine how fast BO's Google Alerts just went off for that comment.

This would be a little exciting if it wasn't replacing a home game.

Why do people still think we're playing Boise?

The OOC is likely at Michigan State, at Minnesota, at Boston College, and a home game against a random I-AA team.

Why do people still think we're playing Boise?

Because Boise state still has us on their schedule, which was updated in the last 24hrs. While the tone of the recent articles makes it sound like the game won't happen, they do say that the game is still on the schedule.

In my opinion, while it is a lost home game, at least the game with MSU is a quality match-up.
