Never say never in hockey. If both teams show up, there are usually seven or eight breaks that determine a win or a loss. There is no reason why we can't we get those breaks.

Who knows. Maybe UNO will think this one's in the bag and skate like it.

I find this interesting, as I know your roomate, and he said the first hockey game you went to this season was Notre Dame. :-k
He lies. That's all I'm gonna say.

Edit: Actually, what he meant to say was that ND game was the first game I had been to in calendar year 2007. That might be true seeing as the WMU series was still winter break, and we had a bunch of road games in a row in January.

Jerzyboy can be a bit confusing with his meanings sometimes.

All non issues aside, GO FALCONS!!! As miserable as the season was, it's over. Get after it in the playoffs and leave it all on the ice. Take a whole season of frustration out on Duh Mavs.

You guys are talking about two different things, as in pulling for the team vs. thinking they're going to lose. I'm fairly certain that he's not rooting for UNO, he's just pretty sure they're going to win. You're right -- giving up isn't very admirable, but it's hardly "fairweather' of him. He's not on overly pessimistic dude either, just too hyperbolic.

I don't give us much of a chance either, all things considered, but stranger things have happened. I'm pretty sure every single person here is rooting as hard as they can for the team, so there isn't a "fairweather" fan in the bunch.

I really like our chances. As said Sprat is just ON right now, hes in a zone and found his groove, the rest of the team is in a groove and the spuratic good play is more consistently continuous. I think also as stated the guys also know that all the crap they went through this year is over, and in the playoffs they can shape a new destiny. that has got to be fuel in the fire.
As for the Bus, I like the Bus its more environmentally friendly than a plan, less expensive and when you consider all the ridiculous hoops they make you jump through for the perception of security in airports, the extra 4-5 hours will at least be spent moving.
i also hope that the guys have watched some film on Dupont, over 60% of all goals he has allowed have been been to his blocker side, he bits hard on glove side deeks and comes back to his right on passes slowly, team s that can score early on him really rattle his confidence and he folds and those teams score often. There are other interesting stats on him but of note in games when Dupont faces 12 or more shots a period UNO has really struggled and or lost. If we keep skating and shooting like we have been he will fold. Shoot left deek right and shoot often FALCONS!!!
right now UNO is not playing better hockey than us, we are playing better hockey them, we can beat them

It's really a boost to have played this team 4 times now. We got plenty of tape on them and we really weren't playing our best hockey.

I'll bet some of that tape shows up on that long bus ride as well.

I do have a question though. When is BG's spring break? Seems like a lot of class will be missed with a bus ride that long.

I like our chances too! We are playing some consistent hockey right now. Jimmy has been tough in the crease. If we can get a few lucky bounces, we are MONEY!!! GO FALCONS!!!

i also think that we have a good chance. I like the draw of UNO, they have smacked us around this year and i know the guys are gonna want to show them that it was a fluke and that they caught us on off nights. This team is playing the best hockey it has all year and at the right time. Lets go stun those wheat munchers!!
