As we all know, the threshold for the BG poilice to get involved in something is ridiculously low. As long as he didn't do something foolish like punch a Newlove or a Hanna, he should be OK.

You must know BG pretty well. Having lived here for 27 years, I can agree that you pretty much nailed it right on the head.
I go back to the not too distant past and truly appreciated Urban Meyer's zero tolerance policy. Whether it was smoking pot or getting in fights he did not put up with any of this $#!^ that seems to be coming up just like it did at the end of the Blackney era. Say I'm over-reacting, you have that right, but the righteous programs teach kids to stay away, and walk away from trouble, just like we did a few short years ago.

Are you referring to the leader of the same program that publicly stated he had no intention of leaving BG? So the message is stay away from trouble, but lie about your intentions. Thats a conflict if ever there was one. Kids fight, be it verbally or physically. I am sure this has already been handled internally which is where it should stay. It was probably some pushing and shoving, not drugs or anything like that. I say we let it be and hope the lesson being taught will stick.

You have every right to be pissed about how Urban Meyer handled his departure, it was a cluster@$#! to say the least. But he was a winner and knew what expectations kids needed to have and the players followed and we won a lot of games and recognition.
A kid or two smokes pot, hey no biggie, a fight outside a bar, hey they're just kids being kids. Oh, they don't have discipline and we lose a few games because of it, oh come on they're just 19, 20 years old.
You show me a program where kids are getting in trouble and I'll show you a program in trouble!

tosu has numerous off the field issues every year, it happens at every school every year, but some schools are better at covering up such issues.
OSU has had plenty of kids get in trouble, but for the most part Tressel has done a good job disciplining those that do. He's kicked some kids off the team completely and has given out lengthy suspensions to others.
You cannot get a group of 85 perfect kids. Make sure your punishments are severe enough to detract further incidents and that's about the best you can do.
The University of Georgia just suspended a starting cornerback for the first two games of the season. His crime, underage drinking...that's what I'm talking about.

funny, if it was an OSU football player, you would be calling for his revocation of his scholarship and if he was allowed to stay on the team they would somehow me cheating and the NCAA should be called.

you are a joke.
Your "Oh no! Somebody might be slighting the Buckeyes!" alarm seems a little rusty these days, teke.
