Do we believe Bracketology?

Post by gayfalcon »

They cannot send BG to LA -- no way, not right!

http://sports.espn.go.com/ncw/bracketology

3 am eastern on 3/11 has BG in LA ranked 6th playing Chatanooga Southern. NC is number 1 in the Dayton bunch.

Can't wait til 5 pm -- 8 pm to you back there!

And check out Coach Miller's outfit -- brown and orange it is!

No, I don't believe Bracketology. So much of it is opinion of the "experts" who have convinced me that they are no smarter than the chair they sit in. There's too many "what if's?" and who saw what, who has what personal biases, etc etc. I'll just wait until 8pm to find out. I will say that if we're playing in East Lansing or Pittsburgh I will be there.

6th seed

Post by fulch »

6th seed seems a little optimistic to me. I know if you go by the rankings the Falcons should be a 4 or a 5, but it seems the mid majors always get screwed in the men's tourney.

Charlie Crene normally gets matchups right just not the places where the games are to be played.

Rankings don't have anything to do with seeding.

I think we'll get a 6, but it's nearly impossible to predict where we'll go.

I'm not as concerned about where they play as opposed to who they play. It would be great if they were close to home, but I will take a 5 seed out west over a 7 or 8 seed closer to home.

These ladys can play on any floor (I think they have proven that). So I am more concerned about opponent than location. It would be nice to have both!

They don't even need a court either. Just stick them in a ballroom.

Why don't they? They are both ways of ranking the best teams, right?

If you take a look at the men's rankings, the top four are OSU, Kansas, UCLA and Wisky. Won't 3 of these four teams probably be #1 seeds? So to say they are not related at all isn't true.

The rankings are not in the room. I promise.

Will this be on TV like the Men's "selection show?" Thanks.

I believe ESPN usually handles the women's selection show.

Well, if we beleive bracketology, then there is a chance for an BG OSU matchup in the second round....

BG- 6
OSU- 3
