Coach Miller named Regional COY

Congrats (again) coach!!

He's now one of 8 finalists for National Coach of the Year, which includes, in addition to usual suspects from Duke, UCONN and Tennessee, Rick Insell at MTSU, who, in my somewhat biased opinion, should be 1 and 1a with Coach Miller. To have the seasons our two schools have had with "mid-major talent" (though I'd argue that ours is a different case) is pretty impressive.

Agreed. Tennessee, Connecticut and Duke get their pick of All Americans every year. These teams could be coached by a walrus and they'd still win 25 games.

Miller and the MTSU guy deserve it much, much more.

As expected, the finalists were cut to 4, and it's all the usual suspects.

I think that is for a different award. Coach Miller was named a WBCA regional coach of the year. That is the Naismith award.

Ah, you're right.

Unfortunately, I still don't see it being any different when they announce the WBCA award.
