UK Peregrine

Post by UK Peregrine »

I grew up in the small town of Minster, OH. When I graduated from Minster I entered BGSU as a pre-dental major. I earned my B.S. in biology, and followed graduation by taking a one year hiatus where I lived, worked, and golfed in Lake Lure, North Carolina. I ultimately returned to BG to pursue graduate school instead of dental school. I spent four years studying behavioral neuroscience. I finished my dissertation and took a position in the Department of Physiology at the University of Kentucky. Hence, the moniker I use on this website - UK Peregrine. Currently I am a professor at Grand Valley State University.

Well a change of AZZ username may be in order sometime in the near future from UK to GVSU. I recently took a faculty position with Grand Valley State University in the Department of Biomedical Sciences. So the family and I will be migrating north sometime this summer. This is bad news for PGY as he will have to continue his life of indentured servitude as a graduate student on his own. Anyways, I am very pleased with this move, in part because my drive to Bowling Green will be much shorter and I will be in relatively close proximity to WMU and CMU to catch BG games. I will also be able to attend the BG-MSU game that's supposedly still on the schedule for 2007. Plus on a regular basis, I'll get to see GVSU's top-notch D-II program that has won 4 of the last 5 DII NCAA football titles. So go Lakers!

GVSU?? You mean you couldn't find a school that took you even FARTHER from PGY? Still seems pretty close to me... :-D

Congrats on the new gig and good luck!!!

Whatever douche. Maybe I'll just try to find a job in Indy next year and bug you for awhile. Got some room to share in your office.
