BG needs a real big man scoring threat......

Of course you all race to overlook I didn't say center, but I digress. We need athletic 6'8-6'10 who can move dribble and provide real inside scoring. Marschall is our only source of negligible inside scoring but you all know that he can't stay in the game very long with fouls and he's are only one. G.Mason seemed to have a guy that everyone liked very much that played either PF or Center and had nice size (not so much on height) and could move well with the basketball.

I agree with commonsense. True scoring Centers are very few & far between in the MAC...hell throughout most of college basketball.

Low post scoring in the MAC is generally by athletic 6-7 to 6-9 PFs.

Yeah, me two. Look around the country...how many scoring centers do you see? Look around the Big 10 and you'll see very few. Our big guys that have been scoring threats have been mostly 6-6 to 6-8 PFs. Enough with this "we need a great 6-11 center to compete" crap.

Hunter was actually 6-6. MWilliams was 6-7 1/2 and 190 lbs SF. Matela was an OK scorer. LWilliams would be a good scorer if OU guards knew how to setup and feed the post. Kamen and Trent were machines. Casey Shaw and TJ Lux deserve mention.

We need a true PG out of a JC. We also need a long, rangey 6-8 guy who can play defense, block a few, and has the interior mobility and athleticism to board with guys like Wood and LWilliams.

Btw, (off topic) any word on Chris Knight?
