I have nothing really against Temple joining the MAC. It is more disdain for the MAC office for only adding one team and creating this clusterf**k. :x

At any rate, I expect Temple to leave the MAC for something better if they ever get the football program headed in the right direction. They probably would love to be a full (all-sports) member of C-USA.

IIRC, though, Temple reached out to Convict-USA after getting dumped from the Big Least and were politely told thanks but no thanks.

That's probably because of the horrendous state of their football program. I am saying, when (if) Temple gets their football program in order, I bet they will look to move all their sports to the C-USA. That may be why they didn't join the MAC as a full member.

I motion that we attempt to disband our MAC, and reform under a title that sports broadcasters will screw up less often. We should drop 3 schools from consideration during the reformation, and seek 4 better schools willing to defect from their crummy conferences.

We would potentially have a more powerful conference than the Big East, and two 7 team divisions!

Flame away, it's all a joke anyways.

I think they hold out hope for the Big East.

If it was up to the football-only schools, I bet they'd strongly consider Temple as a full member. The problem, historically, has been the basketball-only programs, according to some of the Internet chatter I've read.

Take it for what it's worth.

Schade:

I've done some sporadic digging on the whole Big East/realignment thing as time permits. The basketball-only schools are becoming an increasingly large issue for the Big Least. With more money pouring into the BCS and the addition of a 12th regular season game, I get the sense that the conference (led, of course, by the football schools) is looking for a way to cut loose a number of basektball-only schools while at the same time scooping up some full-time members. The key is to not have a net loss in overall revenues.

Time will tell.

I didn't say my earlier post very clearly.

I was trying to suggest that basketball-only schools may have blocked Temple's full entry to the Big East in the past. If they go, maybe Temple gets another look -- as would Memphis and Central Florida, in my opinion.

i will be laughing for a while
As an Ohio State fan, you can't seriously be laughing at our schedule given who the Buckeyes have for OOC games. Two MAC teams, a I-AA team and a craptastic Washington team? That is hilarious. One BCS team out of four games. We can at least say we are playing three BCS team in our OOC schedule.

Do you really want to compare schedules over the years??

Sorry, Minnesota is "craptacular"and is only a BCS team by default due to conference, otherwise they do not count.

BC is always over rated. they may make top 25 but do they ever win championships?

look at who OSU has played and who they have comming up.. Hell they had to face # 2 three times last year which has NEVER been done before.

Texas, Washington (was actually highly ranked when they played in 03), Wash state (highly ranked at time), Texas Tech, they have Oklahoma, Miami and USC for the next 6 to seven years.

So they have one season thrown into the mix that isnt as strong of a schedule as you have become used to. so what.

By the way they play two OOC next year as of right now. Syracuse is also on the schedule.

What's up with Brutus Buckeye? He always has that stupid, toothless grin on his face.

Buckeyes Kill, they don't have to look pretty. atleast they do not get portrayed as females when Corso wears Brutus's head on Gameday, like BG did when he wore Frieda's

How accurate, BG plays like women ever since that season.

You know...given the success our women's basketball team is enjoying, BTW it's a much GREATER level of succes than the OSU women achieved, I don't think the statement "playing like women" is viewed as an insult around these parts.
