Never mind the color of the turf. We should make the entire field fiber optic, and plug it into a giant video card. We can go with a psychedelic turf!
Do video ads between plays and change back to green when the teams line up for the next play. Band halftime shows could be choreographed within a video production to add all kinds of creative options-instead of large video scoreboards the replys could be done ON THE FIELD, while the teams huddle. Post game light shows, faux fireworks displays-work on that concept-I believe it's the future.

The FalconVision presentation needs a lot of work. I don't know how many times they run a replay and they show a ground level shot which is worthless cause you can't see anything from that view.

They need to get their timing down better as well. Make the production look like it is by professionals not a bunch of people thrown into the booth at the last second.

Worthless camera work is a staple of MAC football. Sadly in NW Ohio, it is a bad habit none of the low-rent sports directors seem to be able to break. It would be nice if they'd ride a bloom'n elevator and get some decent highlights. But what do you expect from anything in Toledo.

Well, being near a major cultural and technological center like BG you'd think Toledo would learn to use the support of their southern neighbor to improve things.

Often they do Rocket, most of the broadcast TALENT seems to be BGSU affiliated. Skip Gordon, Jim Rudes, The Tich, Jerry Anderson, etc.

They come down to BG to seek wisdom, but when they realize the road out of Toledo can take them far away, the just don't come back.

Can't remember the last time I heard the words Jerry Anderson and Talent in the same sentence without the modifier "no" before the word "talent". Got a great story about him but probably not appropraite for this forum.

I was using the term to refer to those in front of the camera as opposed to those behind it. Trust me, I'm generally with you on the talent the Talent on air has up there.

Curiously I think we both know some of the same things about *sniff* Anderson, but that is old news down in BG.

Boy has this discussion really fallen off the topic.

I still agree with the earlier post of having orange turf though....screw the NCAA and the 'rule' they put in after Boise put in blue turf....all they care about are the 'major' conferences anyway.

Boise plays in the WAC...that's a midmajor conference like the MAC.

We can't "screw the NCAA". I htink they're still busy screwing Brian Bosworth

Well BG did get to have one of their colors for the field color at the BG-Miami game last year. And when we play at Boise (yeah, like that'll happen) we'll get our opportunity. Although their field's really not Midnight Blue.

I like to leave one of my colors all over my blue and yellow swirled toilet bowl every morning.

Ball State thus becomes the eighth member of the Mid-American Conference (MAC) to elect to play its home football games on FieldTurf, the world’s runaway leader of artificial turf. No other NCAA conference boasts as many FieldTurf fields as does the MAC. Amongst MAC returnees, only Bowling Green will play their games on natural grass this fall. The 2007 football campaign will mark the first one in which Ball State has not played its home contests on grass.
Looks like we arent getting the turf yet read this article from fieldturf.com http://www.fieldturf.com/football/featu ... atureID=17
