Everyone say "bye, bye" to Ohio State.

Talk about the Buckeyes the Wolverines the Hilltoppers the Ducks the Beavers the Chanticleers... or anyone else who isn't BG or an opponent in this forum.

Why would I be jealous of a school that can only graduate 1 out of 10 of each player that comes through? Or the thug players which they recruit (Oden). Add in the "stick up the ass" mentality of their fans, and I have no jealousy what-so-ever.

It's more of a pity, really.

Everything I've read or heard about Oden is that he's a fairly bright, affable sort of guy who truly enjoys going to school (I would too with his schedule, but still). I recall someone on this board saying that UT played "thugball" or somesuch... And UT with a first team All-MAC Academic player, an NCAA Leadership Council invitee, etc. Interestingly I don't hear the word thug mentioned when a white player fouls somebody hard (Cue the "I'm not racist" rants).

John Floyd is ten times the thug Oden is.....not to mention 1 million times whiter.

Hell, OSU's Matt Terwhatzhisnuts is more of a thug than Oden.

Recipe for a choke:

Ingredients -
1. 7 stupid fouls in the first five minutes of the second half to let the opponent back into the game at the foul line.
2. 5 ill-advised fall away three point shots with a hand in the face
3. Countless missed free throws and layups
4. 4 times failing to guard the one opponent that can hurt you from beyond the 3 point line.

What a really bizarre game all the way around. Oden's fouls were all pretty cheap and questionable and alot of really weak foul calls going both ways in the second half and down the stretch. I think the refs could have done a better job of letting both sides play throughout.

Tomorrow's Dispatch will have a front page picture of Grandpa's block on the last play of the game to save the Buckeyes season. There will be the headline about the Buckeyes overcoming adversity again. Blah blah blah. OSU will beat Memphis on Saturday to get to the Final Four mainly because Memphis is a 5 seed disguised as a 2. I will be very surprised, though, if the Buckeyes can hang with UNC or Georgetown in Atlanta. This team's unbelievable run of good fortune has to come to an end at some point, right? I, for one, certainly hope so.

Ok, I am not going to reply to any of the stupid comments on Oden being a thug or OSU toying with anyone. Here is what I've seen from the last two games. Xavier was an in state game and wanted to beat Matta badly. They came to play, and I really thought that would be OSU's hardest game for a lot of reasons. Tennessee came out and shot over 60% in the first half from the 3. You just knew that they couldn't keep up that pace for the whole game. I know that OSU has had a lot of close games this year, and I really think that will help them when they get to the final four. Yes, I said it, the final four. I wouldn't put it past Memphis to come out and beat OSU, but I don't think they will. This is not coming from a die-hard OSU fan, just someone that knows the game. Sometimes I think Matta should go to a 3-2 zone to keep Oden out of foul trouble on the defensive end of the floor. I think with the solid guard play that they have, they really could run a 3-2 well.

damn, lighten up folks, obviously they were not toying with them, obviously I was joking.

But they did look lathargic, tired, uninspired, and heartless in the first half. They looked as if they were incovenienced or bored on the floor then UT kept hitting three's and they got down on themselves for the rest of the half.

They got it together, they rebounded and got in people's faces in the second half and it was a completely different team.

Obviously they didnt toy with them intentionally. But is sure looked as if they were.

if they would just play a whole damn game instead of half they would be unbeatable.
