Spring Roster

Post by Warthog »

The Spring football roster is posted.

http://bgsufalcons.cstv.com/sports/m-fo ... 07aab.html

Just starting to look it over. First thing I notice is Andre Boomer is now an RB. Brandon Mack is an OL. I'll have to compare to last year's roster that I have at work to see if there are any other notable changes.

Some Weights. Dozier up to 220 and Briggs at 230. Donahue up to 281. Most of the O-Line mainstays were down in weight from the last list.

Some names listed who I have no idea who they are.

Giovanni Fillari-From San Francisco-Sigma Nu pledge class president.
Anthony Mosley DB 6-1 190 FR Delray Beach, Fla./Atlantic Community-Not the current recruit for Kentucky
Alfred Tomlinson DB 5-9 175 FR Dayton, Ohio/Dunbar

names missing from the end of the year Roster:
TE 10 Trevon Winston (6-2 212 r-FR)
RB 87 Trevor Germany (5-8 217 r-FR)
DL 53 Thomas James (6-2, 255, r-So.)
LB 69 Kevin Munroe (6-1 215 r-FR)
DB 27 Michael Woods (5-11 194 R-SR)
DB 31 Kevin Colyer (5-10 200 R-So)
P 26 Kyle Wright (5-11, 185, r-So.)

I do believe they were all walk ons.

Other than the kickers....it looks like most of last year's class is still around. If we do wind up with a quality artficial surface, it will be interesting fun to see that speed we recruited go to work.

I have a hunch that Darius Smith and Carlos Tipton are going to make some noise at DE. I'm looking forward to seeing Brandon Jackson,Jerson Davis and Eric Ransom play in the spring game...those are three guys that have really been touted as difference making athletes.

The TE Odrobinak is playing DE? That is a suprise...6'-4 and 250 is decent size for a DE. Falconboy will be happy :-)

Well thats wrong, hes at DE. I dont really understand it, but I have no doubt in my mind he will be a good defensive player. Hes a good athlete, I just dont see the logic in changing him his senior year. He was a quality TE and caught just about anything thrown his way and was tough to bring down.

Scheidler and Rieke must look pretty good at TE to move a Sr out of there...

I have a hard time believing that. This is classic GB, moving players around liek musical chairs with no rhymn or reason, it just sickens me. Odro is a beast at TE and we need a beast at TE to run the ball effectivly. I'm all for puttin' more size at DE but is Odro' athletic enough for DE? If this is true Reike & Scheidler better be studs or this will be one of the more pathetic roster moves GB has made to date.

You'd like to think so. Still, seems odd.
